About Dr. Carl A. Moore, MD

Dr Moore is board certified in Internal Medicine-cardiovascular disease. After earning his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia, he received additional training through internship in Internal Medicine at University of Alabama Hospital, a residency in Internal Medicine at University of Alabama Hospital. He also did a fellowship in Adult Cardiovascular Disease at University of Virginia and remained at UVA as an Assistant professor in Cardiology until moving to Lynchburg to help start a dedicated Cardiology practice with Dr Brown and Nygaard. He is Professor Emeritus of Cardiology, Director of post graduate education, and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Director for Centra Heart and Vascular Institute.
