Dr Ibrahim M. Saeed was very easy to talk to and he listened. The entire process at VA HEART was very professional and I felt that they were all interested in me! Although I have been going to VA HEART for many years, this was my first time meeting and working with Dr. Saeed. I really liked him and will definitely make him my "go to doctor" when I need to visit VA HEART.
I was recently diagnosed with new-onset heart failure, which is understandably a frightening and serious diagnosis. After communicating my situation and having my wife advocate on my behalf since she works healthcare, I was advised to follow up not with the physician himself, but with a nurse practitioner at the end of January 2026--despite the acuity of my condition, and persistence for them to order the correct diagnostic testing. What was most concerning was being told that it would essentially be a waste of time to see the physician in his office, even though I was following up based on guidance previously given by one of his own PAs. That response felt dismissive and lacked the level of concern and compassion one would expect when dealing with a newly diagnosed cardiac condition. Because of this experience, I will be seeking care with a different cardiologist--one who prioritizes patient concerns, timely follow-up, and takes new heart failure diagnoses seriously. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unheard and unsupported at a very critical moment.
I went to Dr. Saaed, my cardiologist, to get cardiac clearance before having knee replacement surgery. As always, he was thorough, professional and kind. I feel blessed that he is my doctor
