Dr. Pat McManus is one of the smartest, kindest, and most efficient physicians I have ever encountered. His bedside manner is exquisite, and his mature mastery of internal medicine is very reassuring. Dr. McManus took wonderful care of my mother and brother-in-law, both of whom have died in the past 10 years. I recommend Dr. McManus to anyone who wants expert medical care.
Referred by Dr. Tsai to him to get scheduled for an MRI. Called and the person answered with "hold please" and instantly put me on hold. Was put on hold for almost 9 minutes (have screenshot) and when I got tired of being on hold I hung up. Waited 15 minutes and called back only to be "answered" the same way but this time I quickly asked her name to which she replied "Brenda". Another 6 minutes go by on hold and she picks up and I explain that my eye doctor referred me to them for an MRI. Brenda then asks if I have been there before to which i respond "no" and she quickly tells me "oh no, we're not accepting new patients. I can take your info and we might call after the first of the year after the doc looks at your info and decides if he wants to accept you." I ask her why would they be on the BCBS website under "find a doctor" if they are not accepting until after the first of the year and even then, only if the doc reviews me and "accepts" me as a patient? She responds idk and I say well I can get BCBS to take your info totally off the website so you won't be bothered and when you're ready to be back up you can call us so we can add your practice back. She responded non-chalantly "that's fine". I asked her if the doctor would be ok with this and she said "yes he would". I AM getting this practice removed. I am also Letting Dr. Tsai know about the practice she is referring her patients to so she doesn't make that mistake again. Don't bother with rude practices or employees. Far too many doctors out there.
I have been seeing Dr McMannus for over 7 years and I am happy to say that the only reason that I can still think clearly enough to write this review is because Dr McMannus correctly diagnosed a very bad memory loss to an adverse reaction to a prescription drug. It was incredible to actually feel my memory slowly returning. Thanks Doc. Larry Lynch
