Sarfraz K Durrani, MD is an attending electrophysiologist and Director of Technology and Innovation in the Heart Rhythm section at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Dr. D (Durrani) is the coolest doctor I have ever worked with. When going through the stress of being told you need to have surgery on your heart. It's a little earth shaking. To have Dr. D was nothing but a blessing. His ENTIRE presence is GQ Cool as my daughter says. He dressed hip (l loved the shoes), hair neat, and exuded confidence. He has that Obama swag. I know this is external but had he looked like Bernie Saunders and was cranky I would have walked out. I already knew he is the BEST at the procedure I needed down. His success rate is out of this world. He was also easy to talk to and he listens. You can't go wrong with Dr. D

I saw Dr. Durani twice to discuss options for a pacemaker for my arrhythmia. He was very nice but hyper focused on my weight rather than my issue. If I lose weight then I wouldn't have these issues. Well, I have lost weight and the issues are worse because my heart rhythm issues are genetic. Thankfully, I changed to a physician who listens rather than judges and I'm getting the proper treatment. Listen to your patients and leave your biases out of it.

I was referred to Dr. Sarfraz A. Durrani, MD by my cardiologist, Dr. Ara Maranian. During my time under Dr. Durrani's care, he performed an ablation and defibrillator procedure at VHC Health.
Public Perception and Personal Experience
Dr. Durrani receives positive reviews from many patients, who appear to hold him in high regard. However, my personal experience did not align with these favorable opinions.
Concerns
I am uncertain whether Dr. Durrani has issues with the LGBTQ community or if he is uncomfortable when patients question aspects of his medical practice.
