CVCA Cardiac Care For Pets

Dr Fritz saw my girls today for both of their heart murmurs. My dog Ella is a senior (16) with a grade four murmur. We were looking to do some teeth cleaning and we needed to make sure her heart was able to handle it. Dr Fritz and his nurse (I forget her name) were both AMAZING. They both sat on the floor with Ella and my cat Grace, and handled them with love and understanding. They both answered my questions and I didn't feel bad for bringing a list of them. Dr Fritz explained everything to me in a language I could understand. He also reassured me I was doing everything right which is what you need to hear sometimes as a pet parent. I couldn't recommend this place enough. My dog and cat gave a little resistance during the EKG but they didn't get frustrated or annoyed. They complimented both my girls and acted like they loved them, which is very big for me. I'm VERY satisfied. You also get a 25% second pet discount!

Today I received a personal note from Dr. Holdt who cared for our sweet beagle Buddy for 7 years. He went to heaven last week. This shows the kindness and compassion each staff member has for their patients and their parents. This practice has never let me down, so if your doggy has a heart condition, this is the place to go. I truly believe Buddy's life was extended thanks to the perfect combo of medications and good care. And, in 2019, Dr. Holdt saved Buddy's life after a dangerous episode. Can't say enough good things about CVCA in Fairfax.

Although I did not enjoy the outcome of our visit (nobody's fault), I must say I would highly recommend CVCA. From the moment we walked in, staff was very attentive. The tech listened to us right away on how to keep our cat calmer, the doctors were very friendly/professional. I loved the fact that we were able to be with our baby throughout the entire process. They delivered the bad news and answered the little questions I had with care. To that im very appreciative.

Dr. Fritz saw my 11-year-old cat today to evaluate his heart murmur and elevated blood test results. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and explained each step as he did it. He also provided numerous COAs for follow-ups, with the understanding of expense for specialized vet needs - which I greatly appreciated! His nurse/vet tech was also great, treating my very scared boy so well! I would definitely recommend this practice/Dr. Fritz for your pets' cardiac needs.

My gratitude and compliments to Dr. Savino and the team (Kevin, Aimee, Veronica, Sinovia, Tehya, Jessica) for your wonderful care during my dog Peggy's first appointment at CVCA. She is a nervous girl and everyone was so patient and kind, and handled her with calm expertise. I've visited numerous vet specialists over the years and at times it can feel impersonal or hurried, or even stressful as an owner when your baby goes to a separate room for their exam/testing. I appreciated so much that I could be in the room with Peggy and have everything explained throughout the appointment. Dr. Savino even brought out a white board and diagram of the heart - who doesn't love a visual aid?! :) Many thanks for taking such good care of us, you have built a wonderful team.
