Casey R. Benton, MD, specializes in general and preventive cardiology. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, peripheral vascular interpretation and internal medicine. He uses this expertise to treat patients who are suffering from cardiac conditions such as peripheral vascular disease, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. "Cardiovascular care is a partnership between the patient and the physician," he said. "My goal is to use my knowledge and experience to assist my patients with making informed decisions."

All the doctors and nurses I've interacted with at Virginia Heart are highly qualified professionals. However, the office is not proactive in engaging patients. That's okay with me because I'm in great health (25+ mile hiking once every two weeks and daily swims/hikes). In general Virginia Heart is a reliable and dependable healthcare provider, specifically Dr. Benton is highly skilled and professional. I've been with this outfit for over ten years after an unscheduled helicopter ride and I'm still vertical, so you know they must be good.
