Sovah Health - Danville

Everyone in the cath lab were excellent. Made me feel completely at ease with my experience. They all were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, kind, and considerate. I was informed every step what was going to happen next. Post procedure, they took time to answer my questions. I received a follow-up call from Robin, RN. She not only was interested in my opinion of the Care I received, she contacted my doctor with several questions I had and made sure I had my follow-up appointment scheduled. Today I received a card signed by the nurses in the cath lab wishing me a speedy recovery. What excellent customer service from Sovah. I would recommend Sovah to anyone needing a procedure done in the heart vascular lab.

I just want to give a shout out to SOVAH ER I had an allergic reaction to something yesterday. I manage the cardiology group so my team Jennifer Durham, NP, Sara Weaver, NP, and Alexis Fish rushed me across the street as I was having problems breathing. The ER was awesome!!! They took excellent care of me from start to finish!! I know that Robin got me in quickly with Jennifer's help and Jordan stayed by my side reassuring me until my breathing was better!! Dr Gomez was wonderful and very compassionate and thorough!! I can't say enough about this great team. Thanks again, Linda Gerrells

Shout out to Dr. Clem and Nurse ____ in the ER and Nurse Robinson on 6A. My mother recently came in and was extremely sick. Dr. Clem and Nurse Smith were so professional and kind to my family and I. They communicated often and with empathy. You could tell they truly cared about mom. Nurse Robinson was so nice to my mom during her stay on 6A. She is so personable. She got to know my family and my mother's background, making the care so much more personal for her. I know there were others but I just don't know their names. I cannot speak highly enough about this experience. Probably the best hospital visit I've been involved with overall.

First, I'd like to make a DIRECT recommendation before I get into my experience. Recommendation: Sovah Hospital should look into getting some golf carts to transport patients from the parking lot to the building they need to be transported to. Why? Because some patients or relatives of patients may have to park at a distance and it would be generous for a person to drive around and assist people who need immediate assistance. It's already enough walking that has to be done to locate people and rooms. Lighten the load a bit. Now, my mother just had surgery as of yesterday.... She was already walking slow due to the pain from the surgery. Nobody offered to get a wheelchair or assist her to get to the area she needed to get to and back to the vehicle. Common Courtesy would had been nice. Such a shame people aren't as generous as they could be. I would have helped her to and from the area she needed to be at myself but I also have knee, back & leg issues so I made it my job to at least get her safely to the door and get her home on time. It's hard on me because I'm doing it all alone.... It's just the two of us. So assistance definitely would have been appreciated.

KUDOS to SOVAH Staff!!! My mom has been in SOVAH several times in the last few months, in the emergency department, the 5th and 6th floors. EVERY STAFF MEMBER HAS BEEN VERY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, HELPFUL and INFORMATIVE !!!!! The service has been above and beyond normal. My family say l ask a lot of questions. Maybe l do, if you don't ask, you don't know. The staff at SOVAH always took the time to answer me and NEVER made me feel uncomfortable. Thanks for your service!
