Dr. Bhagat is a 1st class cardiologist! She is warm, incisive and understanding and a pleasure to deal with. She discovered that I had a very low heartbeat and significant mitral valve regurgitation --which has been rectified by installation of a pacemaker and a non-invasive procedure to significantly reduce the regurgitation. I think that Virginia heart should be very proud to have a very talented doctor like her-she takes great interest in her patients and I am very impressed with her!

I first met Dr. Bhagat in the Inova Alexandria Hospital ER, while having my first episode of atrial fibrillation and a very high heart rate. She immediately knew what to do and took control of the situation, advising the staff what the monitoring and medication plan would be for the next couple hours. She has a friendly, collegial way with the nursing staff and other doctors, and told my wife and me what would be happening while I was in. She also referred me to other cardiac specialists who she wanted to to get further tests from (i.e., sleep apnea, electrocardiology, etc.)
Since then, Dr. Bhagat has seen me about every 2-3 months at Virginia Heart clinics in my area, to monitor my a-fib and medication plan. She is knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. All the cardiologist and staff at Virginia Heart have been great at listening to the patient as well as being technically first-rate.
