Dr. Hashemi completed his internal medicine residency and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System before receiving cardiovascular fellowship training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is recognized as a "Top Doctor" by Northern Virginia Magazine. Dr. Hashemi has authored numerous publications including textbook chapters and many journal articles. He provides individualized care and takes pride in being a patient advocate.
