I received detailed attention from the specialist; she was concerned about me and my baby. She offered me a wide variety of options to improve my breast milk production, taught me how to properly position my baby at the breast, and was patient while my baby nursed so she could observe how my baby was currently breastfeeding. She also offered to connect me with a doctor to answer any questions I had and was very kind and helpful at all times. I usually receive average treatment when it comes to healthcare services, but Misty McDermaid provides above-average and compassionate care, which makes me want to return to U of U Healthcare and makes me feel that it's a place where I can trust my health to this type of professional. Please extend my thanks to Misty for her time and genuine concern.

The offices are very clean. I Went to the ER for kidney stones and extreme pain. The nurse taking vitals was so rude and kept giving me dirty looks. I waited a while. Finally went back and they ran some tests. The doctor came in once to literally say "sorry it's such a busy night I just need to go talk to this patient and I'll be back" he never came back except to discharge me. I did all my tests and they told me everything was fine and sent me home. I went back because I got worse. Same thing they sent me home saying all my tests were normal. I still felt awful. So I decided to go to a different hospital who ran their own tests. Turns out that the first urine test I did was not normal. I had a UTI that turned into a kidney infection due to the lack of care at this ER. I showed the hospital all my results. They told me that not only did I have kidney stones but I also had a kidney infection that was really bad and required me to be hospitalized for almost a week.. the doctors just don't care in the ER. Good luck if you go. I pray you have a better experience!

Seeing a new provider is always interesting. Never know if I will connect with them, and them me. With Dr Topham, both sides of that proverbial coin were easy. First, Dr Topham's nurse: she was friendly and kind. She was thorough in her screening for my visit and crafted good notes. Next, Dr. Topham: she was wonderful. She was also kind and friendly, and she was also professional and knowledgable. I shared my dermatological history with her and she shared her empathy and concern, followed by instruction and guidance for treatment and future care. Lastly, Getting an appointment was simple. PreCheck-in online was simple. Final check-in in person at the facility was simple. Waiting to be room was just a few minutes. Waiting to see the doctor was only a few minutes. And getting treated and further medical direction was on point and direct. Everything was as smooth as could have possibly hoped for and Dr Topham and her staff were exceptional people. Thank you Dr. Topham and team.

Dr. Matthew Ahern in the ER department was very helpful & compassionate. He was thorough and professional. We really appreciated his going the extra mile by talking to patients in the waiting room! He was a good listener & truly seemed to care about us.

I came here for a physical therapy appointment over a month ago that the U claimed was covered by insurance. If covered by insurance means that I have to pay $256 for one hour of treatment (that did not help me at all), then sure, it was covered by insurance. I wish they were honest about their billing. The one hour appointment was billed for almost $1k total to insurance, which is a ludicrous amount. I liked my therapist that I had my initial appointment with but she didn't have Saturday availability, so they scheduled me with another therapist, Karoleena Krypel. They had me scheduled for 5 more appointments but Karoleena was so unprofessional that I canceled all of my appointments. Thank goodness because I only found out today (1.5 months after my original appointment) it would cost $256 per appointment so if I had kept them, I would have been charged over $1k by this point without my knowledge. Karoleena didn't shake my hand properly which is not a big deal, but then she proceeded to be on her phone the entire time I was trying to introduce myself and wouldn't make eye contact with me. She seemed more concerned with being on her phone than taking 5 seconds to introduce herself. It was extremely unprofessional for someone who has a doctorate degree and it gave me no faith in her ability to treat me. I am unsure of why the U thinks behavior like that is worth almost $1k/hour. I initially wasn't going to complain because it's not a huge deal, but I have a massive problem with being lied to about my insurance coverage just to be referred to an unprofessional therapist. If you come here, I would recommend calling your insurance directly and not relying on the U claiming you have coverage. Also I would be careful about which physical therapists you get referred to
