Robert E. Fowles, MD

Dr. Fowles is truly an exceptional physician. He is very bright and so knowledgeable, and is so thorough in his care. I also appreciated his sense of humor. I think that can go a long ways to helping patients feel comfortable. I'm very grateful for his years of devoted medical care!

Dr Fowles has been my Dr for 33 years. I started seeing him when I was 22 yrs old. I trust him whole hearted (no pun intended). He takes his time going over my tests every year at my visit and talking through all my worries. I absolutely dread the day he retires. And always tell him I need someone as good as him when he does. I recommend him to anyone. His staff is top notch as well.

Worst receptionist ever. Rescheduled an appointment that somehow didn't get into the system so had to be rescheduled again. When I finally did get to my rescheduled-rescheduled appointment at the scheduled appointment time, I was told that I should have been there 30 minutes before the scheduled time and that I had to reschedule again. I explained that we had just driven an hour and a half to get to this appointment. I asked if there was anything we could do and I just got a flat "no" for an answer. Next available time was 5 months out. All of this was done by a receptionist who made no effort to be helpful at all. While Dr. Fowles is a great doctor, his front desk has been awful, and when you can't see him, he can't do much for you. There is also something wrong with a system that sends out reminders for your appointment time when you are expected to be there 30 minutes before, and there was never any mention of that requirement in the notices I received. I had also returned early from a business trip in NC to make this appointment, making this an even more bitter experience. I don't think I will work with the unfriendly, unhelpful, mistake-prone desk at this office again.

We are very appreciative of the care Dr. Fowles gives my husband. He is someone we trust explicitly with his care and know he has his best interest at heart. So grateful he continues to practice medicine with his wealth of experience and knowledge. Thank you Dr. Fowles!

Dr Robert Fowles is without question the most informed and thorough cardiologist in Salt Lake City. He spends the time to make sure all of the concerns are explained and clear. He is effective and efficient during the scheduled visit and I highly recommend him to anyone with questions about their heart health.
