Patient
I'm not the most trusting of patients, having experienced doctor malfunctions in the past. So before my initial appointment with Dr. Day I read his book, The Afib Cure. The depth of his knowledge and his ability to explain in a friendly and accessible way were reassuring, and he was the same in person. I had intended just to gather information, but after talking with Dr. Day I realized that I really needed an ablation, and I signed up on the spot. The heart center staff were friendly, efficient, and experienced at dealing with insurance approval. All I had to do was not chicken out, although they told me that I could, which helped a lot because I felt no pressure. On the day of the ablation everything went as planned. My discharge instructions were clear and precise, with contact information for heart center nurses if I had questions. I do not live close to Dr. Day's location and so his staff arranged my one month follow up by telemedicine, which I very much appreciated. Six weeks after ablation, I am feeling great and glad I did this. I feel very lucky to have found such a skilled, committed, and personable electrophysiologist.
