Patient
As a brand new patient, just this week alone, I have had 2 negative experiences with the women working the front desk (an older woman and a younger woman) on 2 different days. This is a public hospital and no one deserves to be treated rudely. I appreciated the kindness of the young, dark-haired Medical Assistant (Lauren?) whose warmth and kindness was the polar opposite of the younger woman at the front desk. She was so rude I almost didn't stay for my appointment. Thank you to the Medical Assistant whose kindness made me happy I did stay. Dr. Gaufin was very young and upbeat. I was impressed she offered to treat me during my same first visit. She offered a few treatments and options for a couple things, but then only did one of the two treatments that she said she could do before leaving quickly. She also said the treatments would hurt, but they didn't (that is a positive review, but it seemed like the Dr. was wanting to sway me to wait and come back without actually hearing my answer to which treatments I wanted to pursue).. She did end up staying to do one of those because I voiced yes (had I been passive and just gone with her, I'd have to wait 6 weeks).. but for the initial thing she was treating, she didn't ask me which option and just defaulted to doing one thing instead of the two that could have been done that she'd offered... Once she'd left and I thought about it more, I realized she didn't end up doing all that she said she could do. I am glad I got as much done as I did, but I'm not set in stone on if I'd wanna go back here again. I prefer to make my medical decisions and feel like the Dr. offered things but (for whatever reason) didn't really want to go through with more than the bare minimum despite having offered more.
