Dr. Mitchell performed an endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy on our daughter, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. He was professional, compassionate, and genuinely cared about her as a person. Kylie woke up with completely dry hands--an incredible, life-changing result. We felt confident every step of the way and are so grateful. If you're considering this procedure, we would highly recommend Dr. Mitchell! Dr. Mitchell stands out as the most exceptional doctor we've ever worked with.

I'm 51 and just had a mitral valve repair surgery with Dr. John Mitchell 29 days ago. The surgery went really well. No problems at all! My experience with Dr. Mitchell and his team, both pre-op and post-op, was great! Dr. Mitchell is very personable. When my wife and I first met with him, he was in no hurry at all! He explained everything clearly, and was thorough in answering all of our concerns and questions. I like his very real nature about what to expect, and how he speaks directly, yet very optimistically and confidently. He came to check in on us a couple times, post surgery while in the hospital. He was always so personable and easy-going then as well. Even though it was obviously a bit overwhelming having to go through everything, we always felt great peace knowing he was going to be the one taking care of us. Again, his team was great! From Kelsey up front to Brittany behind the scenes, they have all been great to us! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his team/group to anybody, for anything. I can't believe it's been 29 days! I'm moving forward with all the post-op cardiac rehab (great team there as well by the way), and I'm feeling positive and better and better each day, hitting goals and feeling optimistic. Thanks to everyone here!

I have read all these nice reviews and I agree he is a nice guy. I however had a different experience with him as my provider. I had surgery and went home on a drain tube. 3 days after I went home, I woke up screaming in pain. I have had surgery before and it was not pain healing from surgery. I started taking anything I could find to help with the pain. I called his office and I was able to talk to him. He kept asking me what do you mean you're in pain? I didn't know how to describe it. I told him I was in severe pain and he brushed it off as healing from surgery pain. I was doubled over and couldn't even talk. My ex father in law told him " She's in pain. I told him I took aspirin and what else I took. He got mad at me for trying to get out of pain. He told me to come up to the office and they'd take an X-ray. My BP was through the roof and he got the X-ray and read it. His " response was no wonder you're in pain, you're lung is collapsing. I was choking on my own lung fluid and he was more concerned because I took aspirin. It's amazing how the second surgery went so much better. I should of not had to have a second emergency surgery.

Dr. Mitchell was professional, yet kind and very informing. He made me feel comfortable and safe and his assistant Kaylee was also very kind friendly and soothing in what was a very difficult appointment in regards to my upcoming heart needs.

Dr. John Mitchell is wonderful! He spent whatever time was needed & necessary to address and discuss our thoughts, feelings, concerns, etc. There was no rush and he was extremely insightful associated with the planned surgical procedure. He provided clarity and understanding ... thus far he has been great to work with. Highly recommended!
