Patient Reviews

I couldn't have asked for more from Dr. Lawless. He was extremely attentive to my needs, listened to my symptoms, asked clarifying questions professionally, and offered clear answers to my questions. He offered understandable information regarding potential issues and suggested further testing to pinpoint diagnosis. The ease of scheduling the diagnostics testing and quick turn around was a pleasant surprise. After reading previous reviews, I wondered how his bedside manner would be. He was pleasant and direct with me and I felt no condescension. I completely appreciated his approach.

I was referred to another provider in this office, but was scheduled with Dr.Lawless. His bedside manner was horrible, condescending, and made me feel so small. When a patient is seeking help for an already diagnosed medical condition, and looking for a regimen, and kindness this is not the man you want to go to. Previous reviews stated he used his assistant as merely a stenographer, and that was my exact experience. He didn't even introduce her. He walked in the room and abruptly asked questions, when I was in fact a new patient. I will NEVER return to this office, and sincerely hope this deters any more patients from being scheduled with this provider. I received zero compassion, empathy, or understanding. When you are at your lowest point, and not feeling well, that is not the care you want to receive. It is already a struggle to go into providers when you have bad experiences, and this definitely adds to that.

Patient

Disappointed. Dr. Lawless seems well educated but communicates like an arrogant textbook. After several visits upon having major emergency heart surgery, he never showed any compassion. When I kindly asked for an explanation of a big medical term he immediately responded in a rude manner. I am a patient person but his behavior is unacceptable, especially given the severity of the medical condition. After the surgery he recommended waiting 30 days for the next appointment. I was surprised to wait so long. We contacted other cardiologists for their professional opinion and they were astounded he would have us wait so long. I strongly advise anyone considering Dr. Lawless to rethink their decision.

My wife and I have been to multiple doctors and specialists like Cardiologist Doctor Cragun, who works for Revere Health, in this same building as doctor Sean Lawless. It was strange and shocking to see Doctor Lawless showing no compassion. I saw "Cardiologist" by his name and felt Revere Health was desperate for more doctors. Doctor Sean Lawless was arrogant and condescending and after reading other posts, it was not an isolated incident. His assistant was only his his stenographer. She was emotionally not there at all. Doctor Lawless told my wife to see a psychiatrist. His rubber stamp reply to this post should tell you enough about this uncaring "doctor." Seriously, don't waste your time or money.

I had written a one star review because of his bedside manner, but I have to give him and his office props for being on top of orders and results. I recieved a call about my results 2 days after my test. I also had a snag with my insurance and he sent the order the same day. If you can get past his bedside manner I think he is a competent and on top of it doctor!
