About Dr. Fathi Ali, MD
Dr. Fathi Ali graduated from Garyounis University in Benghazi, Libya with a bachelor in law degree and went on to earn a medical degree from Al-Arab Medical University in Libya. Later he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Toronto in Canada. After his residency, Dr. Ali completed fellowship trainings in cardiology at the University of Calgary and University of Ottawa, a fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Ottawa, and a fellowship in interventional cardiology from the University of Calgary Medical School. He occupied several academic posts in Canada then in the US where he served as an assistant professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University before moving to private practice.

Dr Ali saved my life. I was in an emergency room with a critical condition called Asystole, and the doctor on call did not know how to keep me alive because I kept coding. I give the Emergency room doctor and his staff credit because they did bring me back to life twice. Asystole is the most serious cardiac condition you can encounter as the survival rate is 2.5%. I remember the ER doctor having a very animated conversation on the phone with Dr Ali about what to do next. Dr Ali gave him instructions that kept me alive until I was able to be transported from that emergency room to the hospital. Once I arrived at the hospital, Dr. Ali diagnosed my problem and provided me with the optimal solution. I literally owe this cardiologist my life. I wish I could give him 10 stars. He deserves it.
