Dr Bhavin is my Heart Dr and I am very satisfied with my level of treatment the staff are very polite and knowledgeable. Dr Bhavin is quick in his office visits but knows what he is doing and if you have questions he listens and will explain everything very clearly and precise. And he is always on Top of having you do blood work to keep a eye on you . I have a major fear of medication but he worked with me diligently to get me on the right path to treat my LBB and other heart issues. He even was the one to preform my Heart cath and I was scared of the procedure but his confidence and expertise calmed me down and I came threw it with flying colors. Very satisfied with Dr Bhavin Patel. A plus in my book . And The Prisma Health portal keeps me up to date on everything. Absolutely fantastic Cardiologist.

Great Cardiologist. My husband is in heart failure and he has been working with Dr. Patel since his heart attack in June 2024. Dr. Patel has kelt a very close check on him and when his heart didn't respond to all medications Dr. Patel referred him to St. Thomas for possible heart transplant. His bedside manner is great and sympathetic

I was sent to Dr. Bhavin Patel by my primary, to be further evaluated and assisted for a life-long heart condition I've had. When Dr. Patel came into my room for my appointment yesterday (5/2/25), he was extremely rude from the get-go.
Firstly, he would not let me get a word in edgewise, as I was trying to explain my medical history to him - it is my opinion that Dr. Patel would rather hear his own voice than listen to and care for a patient. Each time I attempted to speak about the extensive history and documented instances/logs I have, he would interrupt me and say "there is no known treatment for your condition" and he would move on, brushing me off completely. Isn't the most important part of being a specialist, to listen to the patient and learn all aspects of the medical history that led them to need this appointment?
Secondly, my career is very important to me, as well as my health. When I brought up the potential for occasional intermittent FMLA to be used when I have serious heart episodes, to cover my time at work, he stated that "FMLA paperwork is way too much of a burden on my staff to fill out and I am not willing to do that. I suggest you need to find a new occupation instead, that is not strenuous." I was blown away, to the point I was in tears.
Being bluntly told by a so-called "specialist", that I need to leave my tenured career that supports my family and that I love, over a heart condition that I cannot control when it acts up, all because their office isn't willing to take the time to fill out a document that protects me for when I don't feel safe to be around heavy machinery? There was no empathy in that office, only dictation and arrogance.
After explaining the situation to my primary, they were appalled for me and will be getting a referral to a new cardiologist.
I will also be filing a formal complaint with the hospital his office is in, and potentially the state medical board.

Dr Patel was in the rotation when my mom was having a heart attack. He and the medical team, including Travis his PA, were able to save her as she was having her second heart attack. He kept us updated during the procedure. Thankful that he was her doctor.

Review for my husband who had what was supposed to be a simple surgical procedure but became complicated due to a obvious lack of skill. Another doctor called in to finish had no problem. We also perceived Dr. Patel was trying to add unnecessary tests to fatten the bill. Would never go back.
