I don't know what all these 1 star reviews are experiencing, but BOTH the staff and Dr Thota were awesome! He is so fun and kind, and the staff was quick to get things right! I can see how some people might misjudge Dr as rude or brash, but he just has an awesomely unique personality!

1-Star Review: Dr. Venkat Thota at Wichita Falls Cardiac Care - Turned Away at the Gate by Rude Gatekeepers, Derailed My Emergency Surgery I drove a grueling hour from Cache, Ok to Dr. Venkat Thota's office at Wichita Falls Cardiac Care (1518 10th Street) for a vital initial cardiac clearance to clear the path for my emergency neck surgery. My surgeon was adamant: Nail this ASAP, or the op gets pushed. I powered through pain and traffic, arriving 15 minutes early with my nerves in knots--only to be stonewalled at the check-in desk by two of the rudest, most uncaring women I've ever encountered in a medical setting. I never even made it past that barrier, let alone saw the doctor. Their negligence didn't just waste my time; it torpedoed my surgery timeline, leaving me in agony and uncertainty. If your health hangs on a specialist's input, this place is a minefield--avoid at all costs. Picture this: I hand over my ID and insurance, explain the urgency, and ask about my slot. That's when the bombshell drops--at check-in--they'd changed my appointment date without a peep. No call, no voicemail (despite their later BS claim), no nothing. Just a casual "Oh, yeah, we moved it" from Woman #1, like it's no big deal. I push back--politely at first--explaining the surgery stakes, the hour-long trek, the escalating neck pain. She shrugs, turns to her colleague, and they tag-team the dismissal. Woman #2 chimes in with a smirk: "We tried to leave a message--guess you didn't get it." My phone? Empty log, zero evidence. When I ask to speak to a supervisor or at least squeeze in today, they freeze me out: "Doctor's booked. Next!" No empathy, no alternatives, just two stone-faced sentinels treating me like a nuisance instead of a patient in crisis. A door slam before I could blink. No exam, no clearance, no shot at Dr. Thota's "expertise." Their "oversight" forced my surgeon to delay the neck procedure by weeks--turning a manageable emergency into a nightmare of mounting pain, lost wages, and what-ifs that keep me up at night. This isn't customer service; it's a blockade run by employees who clearly clocked out emotionally years ago. I've fired off complaints to my insurance, and the Texas Medical Board, armed with timestamps, call logs, and every humiliating detail--because no one should endure this, especially when surgery's on the line. Wichita Falls has cardiologists who actually care--seek them out before this duo derails you too. 1/5 stars. Sworn off forever, and spreading the word far and wide. I started going to see Dr. Thota a few yrs ago when I had a heart attack. His staff is ALWAYS VERY polite and professional. And Dr. Thota is a sweetheart!!! He ALWAYS listens to me and answers any questions I may have. He ALWAYS takes his time with me, NEVER rushes me, makes me feel calm about my condition and tells me that if I have any concerns or problems to contact his office IMMEDIATELY!!! My 23 yr old baby girl passed away on 11-1-21 and my depression has been awful. I don't know if it caused my stroke in March of 2024 but by the grace of God I'm still here. The cardiac dr at United Regional was AWFUL, EXTREMELY RUDE and had the WORST bedside manner EVERY TIME she came to see me!!! But right before I left she came to see me 1 last time and she was SO NICE and wanted me to go see her after I went home but I already knew I was going to go see Dr. Thota. I will continue to go to Dr. Thota for my cardiac issues. Thank you so much, Dr. Thota and staff, for your kindness, professionalism and understanding. Definitely a 10 out of 10!!!!

His staff is pretty amazing. Always nice and sweet. But Dr. Thota himself?? Dismissive and doesn't listen... I've gone 3 times, and will not be going back! I am not impressed. A doctor should listen to a patient when they're trying to SPEAK and tell them their concerns!! Not over speak them...

Dr. Thota is awesome!!! Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner. His staff is welcoming and assists you with all your needs while you are at the office as well as over the phone.
