Dr. Rakesh Shah is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist who has specialized in cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases over the past 25 yrs. His experience includes noninvasive and interventional procedures including echo, nuclear studies, complex cardiac interventions, treatment of PAD and venous disease, structural procedures WATCHMAN, and TAVR. Dr. Shah has specialized in trans-radial procedures to perform heart/vascular procedures. Founder of Bay Area Heart, a state-of-the-art facility including CARDIAC PET CT for accurate and early detection of heart disease, Dr. Shah has performed over 12000 Heart/Vascular procedures. He completed his training in Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology at the MCV/VCU, Richmond.
