Dr. Orichhio is my Cardiologist and has been for many years. He keeps getting better and better and the most very BEST,in my opinion!!! His bed side manner is so intensional and l have to ask him to talk a little louder,as l really need hearing aids.He is so soft spoken, near in a hurry or too,too busy to actually care and listen with the "EAR OF HIS ...you do not find doctors anymore that take time to listen to you. They rush you in and out like a revolving door and seem to be only interested in how many patients they can see in a day and how much money they make from each and everyone of them. Well, let me tell you about Chip Orriccho,he is the exception to the "rule" at Bay Area Heart. He takes time to genuinely LISTEN to his patients and l am the "BLESSED RECIPIENT of that time. I leave there knowing that my doctor listened, heard and and prescribed exactly what I needed. I will gladly follow himhim wherever he decides to practice,He is diffinetlyworth the time, drive, etc. He is SO SPECIAL and I consider it a PRIVILEGE to get to have him for "MY CARDIOLOGIST,MY DOCTOR THAT GIVES SERVICE WiITH HEART AND ALWAYS. "LISTEN S"WITH THE EAR OF HIS

I am extremely disappointed with the care and treatment I received at Bay Area Heart. I have never been so upset with the way a physician's office--or more specifically, a medical assistant named Michelle--has treated me. Michelle denied me access to my prescribed medication and misrepresented my situation to my insurance carrier, falsely claiming I was seeking the medication for weight loss. Because of this, I was forced to visit the emergency room twice just to obtain the medication I needed. On November 4, 2025, my doctor approved a refill of my prescription. Michelle assured me she would call it in that same day, but she did not. For over a month, I left voicemails, spoke with receptionists, and followed up countless times before she finally responded on December 8, 2025. When she did, she was dismissive and seemed annoyed to even speak with me. During this time, Walgreens and my insurance carrier repeatedly sent requests for prior authorization, all of which were denied because Michelle provided incorrect information. She also told me multiple times that since Bay Area Heart is a cardiology office, I should find a primary care provider if I wanted my medication. While I understand the distinction, it is unacceptable for a medical assistant--who is not a physician and does not hold an NPI number--to override a doctor's prescription and misrepresent my diagnosis. Ultimately, I had to find a new primary care provider to finally obtain my medication, after nearly a month of unnecessary hardship, countless phone calls, and emergency room visits. This experience was frustrating, stressful, and unacceptable. Patients deserve honesty, professionalism, and timely care--not delays, misinformation, and personal bias.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a doctor's office. The previous doctor who retired was incredible and thoughtful. His staff was kind and accommodating. We were patients for over 30 years. We have left numerous messages with zero response or call backs. Staff is rude and 10/10 times never answer the phone. They lost 3 patients from our family and no one seems to care. We have emailed and still no response. Numerous messages left..still no response. Terrible.
