Shannon Elizabeth Blalock, MD

Where do I even begin? Dr. Blalock is my son's pediatric cardiologist, and I couldn't feel more lucky to have her treat my son. She treats us like family, and she truly loves her patients. She has not only been an exceptional Dr. to my son, but has also become a wonderful friend. When I was pregnant and was referred to her by my maternal fetal medicine Dr., I was scared, I knew my baby was most likely going to have Down Syndrome, and had just found out he had a significant heart defect as well. She took the time to not only start planning our treatment for his heart, but took the extra time to educate us on the particular defect. I have gained so much knowledge from her. THEN, my OB gets a different job, in the middle of this extremely difficult pregnancy, and she takes the time to find me a new OB to take my case in month 7. I don't know how many Pediatric Cardiologists would take the time out of their busy day to help find the mother a doctor. That is above and beyond her job description. I will never have my son seen or treated by anyone else but her. I hope the day never comes where he gets to an age that doesn't fall under her spectrum of care. No matter where we live or where she may go, I will always take my son to her no matter how far we must travel. I cannot speak highly enough for her!

Dr. S Blalock and her group of nurses and office staff never disappoints me. I been going to her for 7 years now. My son was born with a heart defect. she's has always seen my son since he was 1 month old and her professional is always phenomenal. There very down to earth and caring. Always going above and beyond for there patients. Very blessed to have her as my son Cardiologist.

We absolutely love Dr. Blalock. She is fabulous. She takes her time and makes sure that you thoroughly understand what is going on with your child. The safety and health of your child come first, always. And she is an advocate for your family within the network of doctors that often is overwhelming for parents. You can't go wrong by choosing her office. Her office staff is always friendly and helpful. Five out of five stars from this family!

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Blalock! She is wonderful with my daughter! Listens to every concern and helps get those concerns taken care of!! I am so glad that she is our heart doctor and would recommend her to everyone!
