UT Physicians Pediatric Center - The Woodlands

I cannot even begin to explain how great our experience has been with this office. We came here with my daughter 2 years ago and had a great experience then. We are back now with my son and I have been blown away by how helpful everyone has been. The doctors, nurses and front desk staff all have been wonderful. Everyone is so positive and kind. They have been working so hard with me to help get my son the formula he needs. I have never had medical staff be so efficient while caring at the same time. I am truly so grateful this is where we ended up and I cannot say enough good things about them!

Dr Velez is wonderful. The lost star is for how long it took us to finally get an appointment. When our kids need medical care, several months is too long to wait. The lady at the front doesn't welcome you in either but, once you get her attention, she's nice enough. I can't say enough positive about Dr Velez. She's positive, informative, encouraging and knowledgeable. She is patient and answers questions.

When we arrived we were 1st met by the kind and cheerful clark at the desk! I had no idea It was the beginning of what was about to come next when we headed to the back! It was like me and my family stepped into Christmas wonderland! The atmosphere was charged with laughter, joy, care, fun, understanding, and most of all family! It was such a joy to where my child didn't want to leave! Doctor Alvarez was amazing! She filled us in on what to do and what was to come after we went to get blood drawn for our child! She was high energy and a GREAT full of positivity! After everything was done with our son we were met by a beautiful and joyful nurse who was full of care! I must admit this is the first time in history in the medical field that we have experienced great service from the beginning with the Clark to the doctor until the end with the nurse!!!! It really felt like Christmas! Thank you ALL for such an inspiration time!

My daughter began complaining of tummy troubles when she was 6 and we'd been referred by her pediatrician to see Dr. Shuck-Phan, the gastroenterologist, here. Dr. Shuck-Phan performed blood work, took stool samples, and analyzed my daughter's growth charts to ensure nothing was afoot. Dr. Shuck-Phan provided tips, prescriptions (even if we decided against taking them in order to first try a non medicinal route) and so much help for the last few years when seeing my daughter. Eventually it was determined the tummy troubles were likely acid reflux associated, but Dr. Shuck-Phan continued to see my daughter every six months to ensure healthy growth. Finally, when there was no cause for concern, we were instructed to see Dr. Velez, the endocrinologist. She was once again every bit as professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and wonderful as Dr. Shuck-Phan. The quality of professionals here is through the roof and I'm thankful we were referred here. We've had experience after experience worth recommending to others.

We have taken one of our children to see three different providers (for different specialties) at this clinic, and all have been outstanding, caring, and interested in making sure the patient and family understand the medical issues at hand as well as the treatment plan.
