Bruce S Lachterman, MD, F.A.C.C. was born in St. Louis, Missouri, received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, California, and completed his medical training at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and the University of California Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine, California. Following internal medicine training at Irvine, Dr Lachterman completed his cardiovascular training at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center-affiliated teaching hospitals including Hermann Hospital and St. Luke's Texas Heart Institute. Dr Lachterman has been working in The Woodlands since 1993.

I have been seeing Dr Lachterman now for a few years. I wasn't excited for having to go see him in the first place, but since the beginning, he has been a great doctor to be seen by. He is very thorough in his explanations of symptoms, and what can be done to correct them and get you back to being heart healthy. His entire staff is friendly as well, so going there is always a pleasant experience.
