Very poor bedside manner and will not sit there and explain tests but instead just go "hmmm" and when you ask what, says oh nothing. He ask what he should do when you're seeking answers from him. And if you go get full work up and test come back, he will take weeks to respond and it's only because patient has to constantly follow up. He will just (via typed message) provide prognosis and not to worry about it "right now" but see you in a few months. He's probably a skilled dr with procedures but I am not someone that's gonna wait until things get to that point. And definitely don't want to have a dr who won't help me when I'm willing to do the work to be well or slow things down. I need a dr who offers empathy and guidance of preventing disease early on and if it becomes chronic, knowing we did everything to with a solid treatment plan. We have choices on who we see and I choose good bedside manner and clear communication any day.

If you are looking for a doctor with bedside manners, please do NOT see this cardiologist. I went with my husband for his first visit and I am still in shock and just angry. My husband suffers from anxiety, which we made clear from the beginning. Upon walking in, Dr. Masud asks why my husband was here and why he had a calcium score done at age 37? My husband proceeds to tell him that his father had a triple bypass, so that is why, and he is worried because his calcium score is high for his age. Dr. Then tells him that yes he probably has "blockages" everywhere. My husband then asks if he is safe to drive because he travels for work, he tells him yes but if he feels severe chest pain to pull over and call 911 because if he dies, paramedics can bring him back.... Then he tells him that he should become vegan. "If a cow doesn't eat it, why should we?" I guess humans should identify as cows. He tells my husband that if he didn't come to see him that he'd probably have a heart attack by age 45. But with diet and exercise, he should live a long life......he is first confused as to why a 37 year old had gotten a CAC test done but then says that? All of this bullshit he told a person with severe anxiety.....but at the end tells him not to, "let it be a handicap" to him. I am so angry. He failed my husband miserably.

Excellent Doctor. Very knowledgeable and communicates issues very well. I had a stent procedure with Dr Masud and it went very well with him giving excellent care and follow-up meetings. I would trust him with any Cardio-surgical procedures.

Dr. Masud is excellent. He explained the TAVR procedure answered questions I had. Dr. Masud checked on me in recovery and explained to my group the procedure and outcome. I could not be more pleased. Dr. Masud is an excellent cardiologist. He is thoughtful, practical and direct. As a retired physician, I have worked with numerous cardiologists over many years. He's special.
