CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital

I had a terrible experience at this hospital. I was seen by the PA Johnathan Steele. He was uncaring, dismissive, rude, and refused to let me see another physician when I requested one (which is my right). I had kidney stone surgery two months prior, and he refused to address any of my pain or concerns. He made up lies about me and added to my chart. All of his nursing staff treated me horribly at his request. This PA is unprofessional, completely void of empathy, and I just can't believe he is working in healthcare with his attitude. I had to go to administration and speak with someone to get proper care. The CMO was wonderful. She was so caring and fixed things so that I could get proper care. The doctor she put me with was great, so she fixed the problem. I would not recommend this hospital because I was treated so badly by this Physician's Assistant (Johnathan Steele) and the nursing staff. However, they have the BEST CMO in administration. She is amazing and very caring and proactive.

My husband had back surgery and was admitted for a few days. We had the best experience ever. Dr McMordie was amazing and the nursing staff was outstanding. Gotta give a huge shout out to James (3rd floor) for just being so sweet with a great personality. We love ya James!!! Everyone there was such a huge blessing and we can't thank them enough.

Best staff around!! They were so efficient and friendly. I would recommend them time and time and time again!!! The night shift ER nurses Ada and Ashly were absolute angels. I absolutely LOVED them and so did my one year old. Nurse Practitioner Michael was also so so so good. I truly cannot rave about them enough. 10/10!!!! Madison Mathis is also the best of the best!

This was the most pleasant hospital experience I could have imagined at a time when illness and stress were center stage in my life. EVERY worker I encountered through my 5 day stay was exceptional, efficient and supportive of my every need. I am so thankful that this hospital is right here in our community! Thanks to the leadership that has produced the top notch Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX!

I had the best experience with labor and delivery! The staff were patient and talked me through the entire process. Even on the south side after giving birth, the nurses were helpful, sweet and always available. I felt very comfortable; definitely would recommend friends and family. They also have good food in the cafeteria.
