Tripathy Uttam MD

(Submitted on behalf of my Mother) I will never forget the day I met Dr. Tripathy. He came into my hospital room and explained the procedure needed to save my life. This gave me comfort and hope in a hopeless situation. My surgery was high risk, and the recovery was long and complicated. Dr. Tripathy was always there, day after day, checking in on me and answering the questions of my family and loved ones. He was direct, honest and kind. But most importantly, he took the time to make sure I had the best possible chance to recover my life. When Dr. Tripathy came to my rescue I was confused and hopeless. Today I am living my life to the fullest and enjoying my wonderful family. Some people call me a walking miracle. This was thanks to the best of the best. I am also very thankful to Dr. Tripathy 's staff. I always feel welcome when visiting his office. Special thanks to Nurse Practitioner Irene Abdo. Thank you for all your love and care. Thank you to Lynne and Katherine for always been helpful and kind. Because of Dr. Tripathy and his wonderful team, I have a second chance at life. Dr. Tripathy operated on my dad's carotid artery and saved his life. He's a very skilled and experienced surgeon. As a result, my dad made a full recovery despite the severity of the blockage. Dr. Tripathy had great bedside manner - he was always very pleasant, patient and explained everything to my parents to reassure them through everything. That patience and care continued after surgery and through my dad's recovery. My family is very grateful for all that Dr. Tripathy did.

The office staff is terrible. They never answer the phone, they never return calls. There's no follow through at all. You can be the best surgeon in the world, but if your staff impedes care, it's hard to say how great you may or may not be. Edit: I'm changing from 3 stars to 1 star. We had to go back again to his office. Again we had to wait over 1 hour (1hr 17min) to see him, for him to spend only 5 minutes with my mom to tell her something he could have easily told her over the phone. He then lied saying he was going to be on her surgical team, but referred her to yet another surgeon. The other surgeon then told us Tripathy would not be on the team! Tripathy delayed her care, misled us on who would be her surgeons, made us wait at least an hour for all her appointments, failed multiple times to return phones calls from their office, packed us into a very small waiting room where there weren't even enough chairs to sit down while waiting, etc. If he's a good surgeon we will never know because we will never go back to his office. It was a terrible experience!

I went to Dr. Uttram for several tests. I was initially concerned about the tests and possible outcomes. Dr. Uttam was patient, non-alarming, and explained everything. He put me at ease and explained everything to me. His office staff was friendly and helpful. The technician was sweet and professional. His Nurse Practioner was helpful and informative. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the doctor and his staff.

We love Dr. Tripathy and his entire team! They have cared for numerous family members and friends of ours and he and his team always go the extra mile to make sure all of questions are answered and the results have been life saving,. Thank you for all that you do!
