I had the worst experience in the er on Thursday 12/18. I arrived at Methodist via ambulance. I was in excruciating pain. I didn't have pants, shoes, or my glasses because I was so out of it I didn't think to tell ems staff I needed those things. I laid in a bed in hallway F right by the exit doors for hours waiting on a scan. I kept telling them my pain level was 9 and 10. It hurt to breathe and my 02 kept decreasing. The nurse gave me a small dose of morphine, but when it wore off she couldn't offer me anything else. She asked if I wanted a heating pad, I said 'yes' but she never brought it. When I finally got my scan done, they realized I had a hernia was completely compacted. They then rushed me to the OR for emergency surgery at 1 am. I got to the er around 6pm on Thursday. I laid there in the hallway and listened to the nurses discuss the holiday party and Christmas presents. I begged people that walked by for ibuprofen or anything to stop the pain. They treated me like I was an addict looking for a fix. It shouldn't have taken so long to get a scan with my pain level. I wasn't afforded privacy, dignity, or consideration on one of the worst days of my life. The nurse that worked on me rolled her eyes several times when I complained about the pain. She was more worried about the blanket falling off me because I only had underwear on.

I had a procedure at the hospital last week. After I registered, Mihrt came to get me, very friendly and pleasant. Very professional and helpful. Then Alexis and Amy assisted me in getting ready for the procedure. Alexis was very nice and gentle with my IV and Amy getting me hooked up to machines. Everyone was very nice, friendly and professional. Great experience

I just want to share my recent experience. My mom was taken into this hospital via ambulance and unable to give much info. By the time I got there nobody could find records of my mother being in the hospital. However Sarah Rodgers, the patient access services manager went above and beyond to help us locate our mother. She was extremely patient, and made my family and I feel comforted during this frantic time. This is the type of customer service that really stands out. Thank you to all the staff, but especially to Sarah!

I've been admitted here in the past and I've given birth twice. The nurses here saved my life after I hemorrhaged and went into cardiac arrest after having my baby. The experiences were great.. over 10 years ago. That's not the case anymore. The women in L&D were not the nicest, not warm at all. From check in to the back room it's like they didn't want me there. The OB made me feel stupid for even choosing this location over the Katy location where I had been seen previously. She was very condescending. I was only there because I was sent there from the place where I got my ultrasound done and it was closer. The only nurse that had amazing bedside manner was the one that discharged me, she made me feel more at ease in 3 minutes than any of the other women did. I'm definitely going to have to find a different hospital to deliver my baby. The ER here was also a weird situation that I don't care to get into.

I gave birth here and I had the best experience, most of this was due to my incredible L&D nurse Irene she was so sweet, compassionate, patient, knowledgeable. Just knew exactly what to do. Anticipated my needs and took care of me to the highest level in such a vulnerable time. She made such a positive impact on my delivery. My husband and I will be forever grateful for her. Also my OB Dr. Diase was absolutely wonderful. I could tell she deeply cared about me and my baby's outcome throughout the entire prenatal, L&D, and postpartum experience. Houston Methodist provided us as a whole with outstanding care
