I usually don't leave bad reviews, I just tend to not revisit. However, visiting this doctor as a new patient. I was expecting a more welcoming and thorough visit and consultation. I arrived on time, checked in. Once I actually seen by Dr Kuo, he behaved in a very unprofessional manner. I patiently shared my medical condition caused by my work related duties. I shared allergic reactions to certain medications, I shared details of growing concerns of my condition getting progressively worse even after a hospital visit and medication. He neglected to document ANY of my statements in his after review "Doctors notes". He neglected to list medications I'm allergic to that I specifically shared with him. When submitting an MRI referral I specifically asked to choose my own facility for cost saving reasons, he chose his own (the most expensive). When I called to get referral provided to the correct facility they neglected to list significant detailed information regarding the why behind the MRI, such as all of the information that I shared in my visit with him. All of this was handled in such an unprofessional, inappropriate and very questionable way! The entire visit he took absolutely NO NOTES of anything discussed to be used later in my overall road to overcoming this condition I'm in.
This visit took place today 9/17/25 at 8:30am in Seguin TX.
Out of respect to his distinguished achievements I saw on his wall on my way out, I will not speak ill of Dr Kuo beyond the parameters of this visit.
But I will not be revisiting this facility and will be making a more formal complaint to the Medical Board.

I went to see Dr. Kuo a while ago. It's been I believe nearing almost a year. This review should have been left a long time ago. Both him and his wife are very caring. I was eager to get in and see someone about some skin irritation I was experiencing. They were closed for lunch at the time but they allowed me to come in right during my lunch break to see me. They took time out of their free time to accommodate my schedule. They are absolutely amazing and I couldn't recommend another physician in the Seguin area. They go above and beyond for their patients. I'm happy to have found a PCP that I am comfortable and happy with.

This man is such a good, kind and caring doctor. For many years, I took my mother-in-law in to see him. He and his staff were always so gentle and treated her with the utmost respect. Gracie and Pauline, knowing how fragile my mother-in-law was, would arrange for us to bring her in at a moments notice when she needed to be seen immediately. I just can't praise these people enough. I couldn't wait for the day when I finally had Medicare so, I could become a patient of his. I'm proud to say that my husband and I both are patients of Dr Kuo and would absolutely, without hesitation, highly recommend Dr Kuo and his staff to care for you and your loved ones.
I would also like to address a couple of things that I noticed about a review that was written 4 years ago by a Ms C Ulmer. Her very first sentence states "Look for Another Dr" Well, Cynthia, why didn't you just do that? You were told that Dr Kuo didn't take your insurance. Why didn't you just move on?! Instead, you felt the need to call repeatedly. This is harassment. He doesn't take your insurance, Cynthia, MOVE ON. Show me a doctor that will take a person as his patient when his office doesn't accept their insurance. You go on to say that "Gracie is extremely combative, rude and indignant." Well, Cynthia, it's very clear in your statement, written by you, that you are the only one that was extremely combative, rude and indignant. However, if your harassing phone calls caused her to get a little rude with you, I'd say, good for you Gracie! Not one person should have to put up with that kind of behavior from anyone. You go on to say that Pauline is never in the office. Do you think that maybe she just didn't want to take another one of your harassing, repeated phone calls? I don't blame you Pauline! I'm pretty sure that the entire office staff of Dr Kuo, as well as his patients are extremely grateful that you finally decided to "Look for Another Dr"
Cynthia, I couldn't help but notice that you spelled Seguin with an e on the end of it. I don't believe that you are even from here

While checking the phone number for our family doctor, Dr, Kuo, I saw a comment that may have been on for some time. The comment was made by a woman named Cynthia Ulmer. She evidently had been given Dr. Kuo's phone number for a follow-up after she had gone to the emergency room at our Guadalupe Medical Center. She called Dr. Kuo's office and while processing her information she was informed that Dr. Kuo's office did not accept her insurance company, what ever that company may be. There are many companies, businesses, and organizations that only accept certain insurance companies for various reasons. This woman became indignant and wrote that Dr. Kuo's office manager, Gracie, was extremely combative and rude with her. I can only assume that she was describing herself.. First, when informed that Dr. Kuo's office did not accept her insurance she should have said thank you and called one of the many other doctors in Seguin. Second, we have known Gracie for years and she is extremely friendly, with a great personality, efficient, courteous and professional. Third, Ulmer wrote a ludicrous statement that she would never go to Dr. Kuo and would choose another doctor. Dr. Kuo is widely recognized as one of the most outstanding doctors in the region, especially in internal medicine, and she actually never saw him for an appointment, so why would she make an asinine juvenile statement like that?
I can only believe that Dr. Kuo is certainly not desiring an additional patient like her, and possibly no other doctor will either.. Additionally, it appears she is not even from this area because she doesn't even know how to spell Seguin.. she spelled it Seguine. I like that old statement that may apply to her.."come visit.. but don't stay."

The fact that I have been going to Dr. Kuo for probably 15 years now, and the fact that I have NUMEROUS family members who are also his patients (he has seen 4 generations of my family), should speak for itself. He takes his time and listens to all concerns. He always asks how my other family members are if they haven't been in to see him in a while and shows genuine concern for their well being. He goes above and beyond for his patients, even going so far as to go into the office on the day before Thanksgiving, a day that the office was closed and would not reopen until the following Monday, because I had injured my knee and did not want to go to the hospital. He used to make house calls for my grandmother because she didn't want to go to the office. He listens to all of my concerns regarding my health and does not dismiss things that may seem insignificant. And when I get anxious about health concerns, he remains calm and helps to soothe my frayed nerves and calm me down. That care and concern extends to his entire office staff. His wife Pauline is his office manager. She is always very pleasant. I have actually seen her as a patient several times for muscle injuries that required therapy treatment. And Gracie is absolutely amazing. She always gets me (and my family members) in to see Dr. Kuo as quickly as possible, even on short notice, and usually on the same day. She always asks how my other family members who are their patients are doing. She also always asks about my kids and my grandkids, and she remembers what I've told her about them. The entire staff at Dr. Kuo's office is fantastic. That is why, after 15 years, I still recommend him to anyone who asks.
