I had a very positive overall experience at Medical City Sachse. After being seen in the ER, I was taken to my room in a timely manner. Everyone I encountered throughout my stay was friendly, attentive, and helpful.
I underwent gallbladder removal surgery. While the surgeon arrived about 30 minutes late and did not show me my CT images beforehand, he did clearly explain the procedure. The nursing staff was exceptional, especially Erika. She went above and beyond by making me a "cough pillow" to help reduce pressure on my incisions when coughing or sneezing, which made a big difference in my comfort. She also allowed me to wear my own clothes, which I greatly appreciated since the hospital gowns were bulky and uncomfortable for me.
The surgeon did not return to see me the following day (Sunday); however, the doctor who did visit was very helpful, answered all of my questions, and ensured I had the necessary prescriptions before discharge. The discharge process itself was extremely quick and efficient, which I appreciated.
One area for improvement would be communication about pain management. It would have been helpful for the nurses to proactively let me know when I was eligible for additional pain medication instead of me having to ask. That said, they were always quick to respond and provide medication whenever I requested it.
Overall, the staff was eager to help and genuinely asked for feedback on how they could improve, which I appreciated. As a newer hospital, their willingness to learn and grow was evident, and it made for a positive experience.

I was rushed to the ER with severe stomach I'd been having for 3 days. They immediately took me into one of their rooms, took my vitals and asked me about my symptoms. The doctor came to see me after that. She explained what tests they were going to run and why. The entire staff gave me time in between their explanations to translate for my mom. They tried their best to translate medical terms that I didn't know. When they discovered I had to get my gallbladder removed they moved me and my mom to a more comfortable room and prepared me for surgery; both mentally and physically. After the surgery they made sure my mom was well informed of how the surgery went aswell as my recovery and aftercare. After the surgery I needed help walking and using the restroom. My mom is older and couldn't always help me. A nurse came within minutes of me pressing the call button. I appreciate the entire staff for helping me. I highly recommend coming to this hospital.

Most excellent service! Hardly any
wait and right back into a room. The ER staff nurses were friendly - concerned and made everything easy. The tests were done really as quickly a possible and we were on our way with meds and able to pick them up at a 24 hr. pharmacy. Thank you so much to the ER STAFF of Professionals at Medical City Sachse!

Got there at crack of dawn, nurses were excellent, got on my gown, got all the IVs hooked up, staff was excellent, Dr. Roberts, my anesthesiologist, came by to assess what we're doing today, questions concerns, etc. great guy. My surgeon, Dr James Connor Ryan, came by to chat about the surgical plans. As usual my wife and I were happy with his forthright approach to everything. Dr. Ryan says he'll see us in the OR and heads that way. The nurses gave me pre-op pain meds and were ready to get things going when Dr. Ryan came in to say the MAKO robotic surgical assist apparatus had not been powered up and so no surgery today.

Over the last month, my 87 yr old father has been to the emergency room twice and was in the hospital for six days and I have nothing to say but 5 star reviews of all the staff! He got such great care and everyone was so attentive and even the food was great! I also love just parking in the lot and walking in the door instead of having to deal with a parking garage or everything being so crowded. My heart is filled with gratitude!
