I wanted to share my experience with coming to the clinic for an OB - Pregnancy confirmation appointment. I also find it important in case there are other women of color/minorities looking for prenatal care. Between Baylor and Ascension I wouldn't choose either for Women's health, Gynecology, or Prenatal visits. I switched from Ascension just to run into the same issues here. To start , it feels like jumping through hoops and bounds just to get your first prenatal visit scheduled. A lot of my friends were able to schedule their 8 week check up with other doctors and a Baylor clinic in DFW. Each time I was called the nurses that I spoke to asked me the same questions over and over about my menstrual cycle. The issue was actually that I had a CT scan a month prior to coming in not knowing I was pregnant and not having a positive pregnancy test the time I was sick with a kidney infection . None the less when I get to my appointment the nurse who calls me back asked me what I was being seen for again after I had already called and spoke with someone else and they cleared me to come in. Not her fault, probably a communication issue. I let her know I called back and that this appointment was for a pregnancy confirmation and ultrasound. My husband and I wait a bit as I struggled to provide a urine sample. The doctor and nurse came in and asked me about weight gain and my symptoms. They just couldn't stop talking about how early I was. I mean everyone that I spoke to. It's my first pregnancy . You'd think with any person that is pregnant they'd be me t with care. I'm already here already at the appointment. It felt rushed, I didn't get much info, none of the pamphlets, class information, cpr , nothing. Everything which all my friends and family shared would be provide as usually the doctors make you 'feel excited ' that you're having a baby. I didn't feel excited doctor took the ultrasound let me know I was six weeks showed the heart beat but truthfully it felt as though they felt like I was wasting their time. I just didn't feel the connection. Scheduling appointments is a nightmare and tomorrow for my phone intake I'll be canceling all of my appointments with Baylor here in round rock. Dallas had amazing hospital/clinic staff and I just expected that here. Nope. I am glad I got to see our baby but sad that it wasn't this exciting fun and caring experience. I also repeated several times my last period was August 30th so I was shocked that baby was measuring 6 weeks. I could tell the doctor/nurse felt like maybe I wasn't being truthful but far from that. I've been consistent with everyone I've spoken with about my cycle and have tracked all of this information. Just not at all the best experience. I'm sure they don't care, but to patients who want a positive experience this is your sign to go somewhere else.

Dr Bose was very kind, however, we took our 13 month old downstairs for blood work after the appointment and were met with a CMA who wasn't as kind. She must have been on the newer side, which is fine, what is not fine is the lack of acknowledgement and bedside manner. After asking for another lady's help, she tried to collect large vials of blood from my baby, was then told she needs to use the small ones & asked if she stuck the needle properly before the other lady ended up taking over and saying no, and never once apologized. All of this would be more understandable had there been more acknowledgment & a simple apology.

Wouldn't schedule my "serious" condition procedure because I Wouldn't agree to the prepay estimate in full or high payment plan I couldn't afford. Then tried to claim "I" couldn't get the deal done!! I told billing that it was BS&W that couldn't get the deal done. Putting profits over my health. The $25,000 from my insurance company wasn't enough to get me in for my urology procedure, that all doctors involved said was of urgent need. But here I sit at home with the same condition looking for a different doctor and Healthcare system. Done with BS&W.

I have never written a review before but am truly frustrated and disappointed with my billing experience. I have a BCBS PPO plan that typically covers my physicals but received a massive bill back in 2024 after an initial appointment to update bloodwork, my annual physical and reinstate my medication (as I had moved cities). I put the bill on a payment plan and have not missed a single payment. Flash forward to this week, I received a notice that my bill had gone to collections. Mind you, I received no prior notice (email, call etc.) and had not missed a single payment. I contacted the billing department to remediate thinking it was a mistake, and was told that "part of my bill was not applicable to the payment plan and that was sent to collections." This was new news to me as again, I was not contacted prior. I asked if I could pay it now over the phone and was told that I could not because it was with collections. That is such horrible and manipulative practice by a business to provide no prior notice and take action that can impact your credit score. I like my doctor but unfortunately will be on the hunt for a new practice with better patient communication and care while I continue to pursue remediation for this mistake.

Very poor organization. They used to be the best around. Now with the new (anti) communication software, that EVERYONE hates, ask any staff, my wife has found it impossible to effectively get care. She suffered well over a week due to lost meds. She tried to get her meds but there's no way to get in touch with them. They got rid of myChart, used regularly by my wife, now she can't get the care she needs. My observations are they routinely ignore her symptoms and deliberately cancel her referrals. Rationed care! They knowingly let my wife suffer and no one cared.
