After a hospital stay, my son was referred to Dr Phung. Don't walk, run away from this doctor. Dr Phung is as unprofessional as he is a poor communicator.
The last time my son saw him, Phung told him he had atrial fibrillation and that he needed to perform a transesophageal echocardiogram, a procedure that needs to be done in a hospital with anesthesia. The night before it was scheduled, Phung's office called my son and said the procedure had been cancelled "because the anesthesiologist quit." I'm a retired NICU nurse, and I know things don't work like that; other anesthesiologists in the practice would cover if there was a problem.
The SECOND time the procedure was scheduled, my son AGAIN got a call from his incredibly unprofessional staff the night before saying there's a problem with anesthesiology and that "Dr Phung would march down to the hospital and find out what's going on." Really?? As if. That's not how health care works in this country. The preop nurse who called my son from the hospital got a big laugh out of that one.

Dr Phung is my kind of doctor. Highly educated (and paid attention in classes) and he's straightforward. His staff has always been pleasant to us. I give him a good recommendation because I believe in him.

Worst cardiologist in the state of Texas. Got a CT scan done and they refuse to tell me my results. They make you wait 3 months before where you need to visit the office again just so you can know your result. The doctor refuses to speak to you over the phone and the staff always talks with an extremely rude attitude. Mrs. K is the worst of them and shows zero respect to the patients. I urge everyone to stay away from this cardiologist because their method and practices are extremely shady and the make you schedule an appointment just to know your test results. I don't know whats so hard about have those reports available in an online portal or have them known to the patients by simply calling them. The only reason they make you come to their clinic is so they can charge your insurance for every little things.

Dr Neil Phung was referred to me for my chest pain. After two telehealth visits, an ultra sound of heart and abdomen, and a treadmill exercise test, Dr Phung quickly diagnosed my underlying lung disease and referred me to a pulmonologist. He is an excellent doctor and his staff is very nice. I still have follow-up with him.

Front staff are rude and Dr. Neil doesn't not seems to be interested in his patients concerns. He always talks over you and ignores you so he can get you out as quickly as possible.
