Excellent surgeon! Great in the valve repair did a great job. Was kind on the phone when we spoke! But after the procedure I have many issues I did not have before procedure. Had to wait a month for follow up! Very concerned! Finally see her next week!

Game changer. Dr. Szerlip read the reports, the tests and diagnosed with 100% blockage in the OM1 artery. Shr put in two stents and I feel like a new person.

This Doctor does not even deserve 1 star. She was highly recommended to me by my cousin. I went to her for check up beginning of this year and she ordered some testing and CT of heart and gave be and follow up appointment for 8-29-23. The week before I had Covid and the Sunday before I was already negative. The night of my appointment I had severe sharp chest pain, shortness of breath , pain going to left shoulder,..... my daughters keep asking me to go to ER and I said I am so glad I have appointment with a great cardiologist tomorrow if get worst I promise to go to ER . I walk to her office with same symptoms even worse and extremely fatigued and shortness of breath. She came in very rushed and told me my CT was normal , I asked her can I have a copy of my report and she told me she actually just looked and it and radiologist has not read it yet !!!? I told her all my symptoms and she said the minute she gets the radiologist report she will call me . She also recommended I go on heart monitor at home for 30 days and gave me an appointment for thanksgiving week. She never call me back regarding any test results only her nurse called med back regarding dose of one my modification. That night on I do not remember what happened... I remember calling one of my friend's/True Doctor with heart/ Angel A call ... I was in Baylor Heart Hospital of plano ER with in 20 an in 35 mins they had already had blood works , CT with and with out contrast done The Doctors, Administration, Nurses, Technicians, Lab personnel,...... all ER and 6th floor people saved my life . Thank and God bless When they transfer me from ER to my isolation room Labor Day weekend I realized what had happened to me I told them I am Dr. Szerlip patient and last thing I remember was seeing her ,her office is next to hospital. She NEVER, not even once in 12 days I was there came to see me and send her partner because she is too busy !!! It gets worse! On Thursday I got released from hospital after 11 days in isolation room. I was so happy to go home . I only saw Dr. Szerlip partner during this and he did an excellent job of taking care of my heart , Blood Pressure , Pulse ,He was also very patient and lessened and answered my questions, Dr. Cole Tunnel. At home around 4 in the morning my blood pressure and pulse start going up. I tried to follow hospital instructions by early afternoon it was so high . On Hospital release form they gave me a choice of Dr. Szerlip/Dr.Tunnel I definitely did not want her who nearly killed me by being so much in rush with her patient. I paged Dr Tunnel Friday afternoon I said my Blood pressure and Pulse is really high and keep going higher. She said let me call you back . She did call me back . She told to increase the dose of 2 medication. Which it has not worked! I told her hospital wants me to make an appointment with Dr. Tunnel in 10 weeks. She told me you can make an appointment with Dr. Szerlip nor Dr. Tunnel. I said NO I never want to see her again she missed my signs and I nearly died , she said this is our policy ??!! I said who set this policy she said Dr. Szerlip and our Office Manager. I asked her to have their office manger call me Monday morning . I know as a patient I have the right to choose my own Doctor especially when Dr. Tunnel knows what happened to me at the hospital, it's ok I will go to another cardiologist. I will report this Medical Board tomorrow. This is not fair to Baylor heart hospital and Baylor heart ER to be associated with Dr. Szerlip and her office manager and their self made policy that NO patients is allowed to change between partners!!!!!

My mom has been thru several doctors etc, at Baylor heart hospital and was asked to participate in a heart valve replacement by the valve clinic at Baylor(even though they had told her months prior she was ok and they wanted to wait a few more years for any more procedures)...they said that she would either have to get a valve replacement or basically suffocate to death within 2 yrs if she didnt get the valve replacement. My mom was worried that she might have a stroke or something worse with this procedure , but they said the risks were minimal and we agreed to have the procedure. The doctors( Mack and Szerplip) said the procedure went well and my mom was fine. The next day my mom had a stroke and has never recovered. "Dr" szerlip walked in my moms room while she was peeing on the side of the bed and decided that she was good enough to leave the hospital even though she was have issues with her CHF the night before. She sat at an "accute" rehab for 5 days going down hill while I was calling the heart clinic and dr szerlip who never bothered to respond and just told the nurse that she had been released and there was nothing she could do. Ironically, this heart "doctor" has no heart...just talking to her you can tell she is dead behind the eyes....she has no compassion for her patients...I will NEVER get my mom back and I'm sure this woman couldn't care less.

I came to Dr Szerlip full of disparagement over my condition after much stress and angst. Dr Mack suggested her to me. Dr Mack and Dr Szerlip are tops in my book. I put my life in their hands. I put my life in Gods hands as well. I continue my faith in them even though I am not an MD. They have served me well in the past 5-10 years. You can not do it alone.
