Switched to Dr Shalek from another cardiologist. Was taken to the exam room exactly at my appt time. He asked questions, listened closely, spent major time with me, and clearly laid out a continuing treatment plan. He allowed me to make choices about how aggressive to be with treatment. The entire staff has been super nice, supportive,and attentive. Super respectful in every way (especially of my time). Thank you!
My wife and I saw Dr Shalek for the first time about a month ago. Our former Cardiologist had just retired. Dr Shalek is one of the most attentive doctors we have ever seen. We found him to be very kind, personable and an excellent doctor. He whole staff was great as well. We fell very fortunate to have found him. WE highly recommend him to those in need.
The worst experience I've ever had in a Dr's office. It was supposed to be a routine blood test and stress test visit. First, they tried multiple times to get blood before finally giving up and sending me down the hall for the stress test. By that time, I was already stressed about being poked with needles several times. Then, the real nightmare started! I asked to do the stress test without a mask due to chronic severe migraines and breathing issues and received the cold and arrogant " it's our policy" answer. I couldn't finish the test due to almost fainting from suffocating and not being able to breathe and in the end, spent my day in bed with a terrible migraine! What kind of a Dr does that to their patients? And why are you so concerned about masks if your employees and clients are vaccinated? Is the ability to think critically and make sound decisions gone in this country? Bottom line, i still not sure if I have any heart issues that need to be addressed, the whole experience caused emotional and physical distress, definitely not going back
An Outstanding Doctor. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Good communication of what is going to be done and why. An all around good experience.
Dr. Shalek is an extremely caring doctor who treats each patient as if they were a family member. I wouldn't take my parents to anyone else.
