I've been seeing this cardiologist since April after being hospitalized for high troponin, and I'm really disappointed with the care I've received. In all this time, he never ordered any follow-up blood work or an echocardiogram to check if my heart function had improved. I've also had side effects like hair loss, insomnia, and low vitamin D, which I believe were caused by my cholesterol medication, but my concerns were never taken seriously. On top of that, my appointments have been rescheduled several times -- including my November visit -- because the doctor isn't in the office. After everything I've been through, I expected better follow-up and more consistent care.

Terrible doctor. Don't be fooled by his Ivy League credentials. Terrible bedside manner and his treatment was as boiler plate as you could get. Assessed me without evaluating my lifestyle or reading the patient questionnaire that I gave to him. Diagnosed me for a heart syndrome that was supposedly born with which meant that my previous doctors did not catch it. After getting a second opinion discovered that Dr. Rivera was way off the mark. This doctor just seems to be "following orders" on how to sucker patients for more money and does so by raising alarms.

He changed to just send my same prescription $156. I requested to him to send my prescriptions because pharmacy needs his approval. But he want to setup appointment for that and I did it. It was hardly less than 2 min call and he gave $156 to just send my same prescription.

I had an appointment with Dr. Rivera today, he is great and his staff was prompt and amazing. 5 stars across the board!!

Excellent Doctor. Very knowledgeable. The caring type that is hard to find these days.
