Dr. Patel seeks to provide individualized, thoughtful and evidence-based care. The son of a respected interventional cardiologist, he is committed to continuing his father's legacy of providing outstanding and compassionate care to his patients. He speaks English, Spanish, and Gujarati. Dr. Patel serves as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Medical City Plano.

Everyone was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Dr Patel was extremely efficient and knowledgeable. He listened... which is rare for a lot of Physicians these days. He didn't rush in and out. He took the time to understand what my problem was. I recommend this practice highly.

I absolutely LOVE Dr Patel! He is the kindest, most compassionate & understanding physician. He is always so reassuring and totally trustworthy. His office staff is wonderful too. They're always super friendly at check in & checkout & extremely accommodating schedule wise. His nurses are great too, really take the time and never make you feel rushed. The whole practice is truly amazing! I am so thankful I found them.
I have been a patient of Heart Place under the care of Dr. Patel for many years. All these years I have been very satisfied with the office staff who always did a great job to give me a heads-up about the appointment, and courteous check-in. They were most responsive whenever I needed to make a change about my appointment! I always considered Dr. Patel is one of the best in his field, and he was always very thorough in going over my current physical conditions (per blood test results) and evaluated the progress from the past visits, and then recommending the forward treatment plan. I always felt very good after the visit because I have been made aware of my physical and medical conditions in terms of past, present, and forward plan. Couldn't ask for more really! I definitely recommend Dr. Patel at the Heart Place!
Rikesh Patel MD is an outstanding cardiologist and one of the best diagnosticians I have known. My late husband William C Harvey MD was chief of Nuclear Medicine at Presbyterian Dallas . He taught me how to find the best and brightest physicians . Dr Patel is one of them . I would highly recommend him. His systematic approach to a diagnosis is stellar . His bed side manners are "top drawer".
