Dr. Julius Ejifor was a wonderful surgeon. He had a reassuring bedside manner and answered all our questions with patience and care. I would highly recommend Baylor Scott and White-Plano.

Amazing group of doctors. Even when it appeared there was nothing that could be done for my husband when he went into cardiac arrest and his EF was 5%, they didn't give up. They didn't think he would make it but they were going to try. They placed him on ECMO and when he survived that they placed him on Impella and when he surprised then with coming though that 16 days after his heart stopped they placed an LVAD and he was home 14 days after implant. My husband is here today thanks to them and the heart failure and LVAD team. I saw these doctors daily for 30 days while my husband was in ICU, every day they were honest, patient with my questions, never in a hurry to run in and out but took time to answer the very scary things I needed to know and supportive along the way. Love them and wouldn't trust my loved ones to anyone else.

As a physician, I previously told people if you have a complicated or unique cardiothoracic issue, you need to go to UT Southwestern. After I found myself in a situation where I needed a cardiothoracic surgeon I went to UTSW, but unfortunately did not receive the complete surgical care I needed, and because of this, a friend and colleague referred me to Dr. Andrew Nguyen at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano. I wonder how things would have been had I gone there initially and words fail to describe the extraordinary care I received from Dr. Nguyen, his team, and the entire staff of Baylor Heart Hospital. If you are looking for a cardiothoracic surgeon, particularly one elite in robotic cardiothoracic surgery look no further.

It is with utmost gratitude that I was referred to Dr. Justin Schaffer for my chest aortic ascending aneurysm repair on January 8, 2019 at the Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano. Dr. Schaffer is an amazing surgeon, in addition to being a caring and kind doctor. He explained my surgery completely and patiently answered my questions. Dr. Schaefer just did surgery on my mother in-law. I can't forget this words, "pray for me".
