I was 6 months away from my scheduled visit. The nurse asked me why i needed to see the Doctor. I let her know I was concerned about swelling in my legs. After Dr Castellanos examined me, he told me I needed to limit my fluid intake start taking a 2nd diuretic. He indicated I had water on my heart. It appeared my medical condition had got a little worse. Because I was not eliminating all the fluid I took in my legs started swelling. Plus he advised me it was also around my heart. His concern for my health gave me a sense of comfort. Over the years my primary physician told me I needed to drink more water. He said, excess water for a heart patient is not good. It appears primary care physician do not treat the heart, they focus on the ailments that effect our bodies. He placed me on a 64 ounce a day liquid intake. I'm not out of the clear. Had I waited for my scheduled appointment who knows if I would have made it. Dr Castellanos took an aggressive stand to bring my heart health up. My wife and I are very happy we chose Dr Castellanos as our heart doctor.
