I've been seeing Dr. Slife on and off since 2004. When he was here in Richland Hills, TX working out of the North Hills hospital. Back in 2013 I was told by another cardiologist out of HEB Hospital in Bedford, after I got put through many tests ran on my heart. The cardiologist said you need to go home and get your affairs in order because you dont have long at all to live. Nothing I can do. Just 2 years back my parents both passed away within months of each other. 60 years married. I got on JPS out of Fort Worth. This is where Dr. Slife and I reconnected. He told me the other cardiologist that said that, I'm sorry he said that because there is alot of things he could've done. Dr. Slife ran the same tests that the other cardiologist did at the hospital. The results were the same with one thing different. Dr Slife put me on different medications and dosages. He rescheduled an other appt in two months to check if what he had done if it helped. Ran the tests again and there was a significant change for the greater. Dr Slife told me that see, he was an idiot. He continued by saying, there's always something that can be done for your heart. I found out today while I was making an appointment to him at the JPS cardiologist in Ft Worth. The greatest cardiologist that patched up my heart after my two previous open heart surgeries that I had before I started seeing him for the first time has Retired Retired retired! Dr Slife, I wish you all the greatest happiness that the retirement world has to offer. Dr Slife you sure did give me all the happiness being retired myself and a new life after being told basically you're going to die by the other cardiologist. From me to you Dr. Slife, I love you and I'm going to miss your smile while you walked in the room were I'm sitting. You were the kindest person and always listened to what I had to say and came up with a gameplan. I hope you have all the happiness and fulfillment while retired.
