Methodist ER New Braunfels

Do not go here. Not sure where to begin... First, we went in for a diagnosis with my daughter having pain and large nodules on her pelvic area while also be congested and sick for over 10 days. In order to "keep her", the nurse falsely indicated the primary concern was cold symptoms because they could not address the female area. Secondly when my daughter gave a negative response to being sexually active, the nurse replied "why not, it's so much fun" which is completely unprofessional. The male doctor then suggested my daughter had a yeast infection and gave her a prescription for it although she had NONE of the symptoms. My daughter then had to go to the bathroom and asked the nurse if she needed to provide a urine sample. THe nurse said yes with no direction so my daughter ended up brining the sample back to the room. The doctor said that was not supposed to happen but they took the sample anyway and charged for it. Lastly and even more frustrating, we completed all of the check in information and updated our mailing address. However, they are still sending bills to our old address, using our old insurance. this information was also passed along to everyone else who is charging us for it. Fortunately my old neighbor has let me know something was mailed to them but they will no open it and we cannot receive it. All said, avoid this place. Further, I'm even more frustrated we went because prior to this experience, my husband was very sick after having gone to the doctor multiple time. He visited this clinic and they told him he needed to just wait it out and it was a cold. Come to find out, he had mono and ended up being extremely ill. Again-avoid this place.

I had immediate care when I arrived at the ER, saw the nurse and doctor immediately and based upon the information I provided and the doctor's examination it was diagnosed as a stroke. Determining the beginning of my symptoms and ongoing progression the symptoms the doctor said that we had about 45 minutes before a treatment to stop and reverse progression of this stroke could be effective. After explaining the benefits of the clot buster (TNK) and risks I decided to take the treatment. I was then transferred to Christus NB Hospital for further treatment and observation. Without their prompt and expert action I was told at Christus NB Hospital my results would have probably been much more damaging and very well could have been life threatening,

We went here on a whim after my daughter woke up in the middle of the night with a high fever. Let me tell you, this was the best ER experience of my entire life. We got lucky that they weren't busy and they took her back immediately. They were attentive and kind. We felt like they cared more about the well being of our child more than payment (RARE). We actually ended up here twice in 24 hours because of how sick my little girl was and they made us feel safe and heard, even if we were alittle paranoid. Thank you to the wonderful, caring staff!

All staff were very helpful and polite. The physician was very patient in explaining the findings and suggesting further follow-up. I really appreciated the help they gave my husband with filling out the paperwork!

I experienced symptoms of blood clots in my legs so I wanted to get evaluated asap. Which I called in with a question in regards if this facility offered emergency ultrasound services as not every emergency room does. The operator for the facility rudely and sarcastically stated " of course we are a full service emergency room" then proceed to hang up the phone immediately after. Extreme unprofessional and lack of care was shown with just a simple question and goes to show the level care I would have received if I went to this facility. The operator answered this call at 12 pm 10/27/25 if you're a supervisor reading this.
