First, Dr. Bailey and Dr. Smith are phenomenal. Dr Bailey is a rockstar in the OR. I also want to add their anesthesiologist is perhaps the FINEST I have ever experienced and I don't do well with anesthesia. I had two areas of concern. 1) my ablation was Tylenol and Motrin only for recovery. I have some underlying issues that made it excruciating. I was so exhausted from the pain 5 days in that I could barely manage. Then I experienced an unusual complication due to the underlying health issues. I was admitted to the hospital. Post release, I needed to see Dr. Smith or Dr. Wyatt but they switched me via text to Dr. Bailey. That was fine except I had to make another follow-up with Dr. Smith and the staff couldn't understand why I was delayed by two weeks. I get the feeling they might have some new staff and there is confusion. Overall, my primary concern was uncontrolled pain post ablation. The ER nurse told me to take Motrin which is contraindicated for patients on blood thinners. It was awful and the clinic nurses never called to check on me which I would have appreciated. Great docs though. I did a lot of research. The entire team is very talented and worked well together when I was hospitalized with unforeseen complications.

Dr. Gill Birnbaum is a very professional and caring doctor. He truly goes above and beyond to take care of his patients. I'm really happy with how he has treated me! Thank you very much!

Absolutely horrible experience with the staff. Our insurance approved my husband's heart monitor weeks ago, yet I still haven't received it. We have called multiple times and each time I'm told "we'll check on it and call you back" -- but no one ever follows up. Every time I call, I get the same runaround and more excuses. The only reason my husband is still going here is because of Dr. Birnbaum, but if this continues he will have no choice but to go elsewhere. His doctor specifically requested this heart monitor for his health, and the lack of communication and accountability from the staff is horrible. I'm completely fed up. This isn't the 1st time. It's every time because of the staff! I called again and spoke to the same person my husband spoke with Pearl and she talked over me like she did with him. She talks over you and when you interrupt her rudeness she claims you are screaming at her. This place is for people that have been dealing with health issues.... The staff causes a lot of unnecessary stress

UPDATE 10/21/25 I considered improving my rating back in June, as the day after I left the original review somebody from their office contacted me, apologized, said they'd work on training their staff, and got me an appointment the next day. However, as I was leaving and went to schedule the 3-month follow-up, they once again told me their calendar wasn't open that far ahead (why, if this is the standard follow-up window?) and told me they'd contact me in September to book it. Needless to say, we're now well into the second half of October and I've heard nothing from them. So I'm beyond advising caution at this point. The best doctor in the world is no use if you never actually get to see them. ********************************************* Original review: I'm happy with Dr Smith's surgical skill, but his office's administrative practices and customer service performance is at best abysmal. After Dr Smith operated to remove a pulmonary embolism I was told to schedule a follow-up appointment in mid-April to check on any potential heart damage. It's now mid-June and I am still waiting. It took multiple calls over the course of 2 months, with multiple promises to call me back none of which were honoured, before I could even get an appointment scheduled for late June - which they have just pushed back to mid-July. Despite this issue being entirely due to their inability to carry out basic administrative processes, they have been unwilling to do anything to try and get me seen earlier. So after a life-threatening event the best they can do is get me in 3 months after the recommended date. I have no idea if this is standard practice for them, or I've just been unlucky, but I'd recommend caution.
