When you first walk in the building it seems a little confusing for check-in. There are two clinics there in the same building even though it says Cardiology. Upon check-in I was standing in line to be check-in by the Cardiology clinic but another staff member (Yolanda) directed me to her window and told me to wait to be called. Yolanda did not inform the Cardiology staff that I was checked-in and thus causing me to wait more than an hour (75 minutes) to be seen. Several patients were in and out within 30 minutes. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment and left 2 hours later because Yolanda did not communicate to her peers. I was highly disappointed as this was my first visit to BSW. There were 4 windows for check-in and all should be able to check patients in to the proper clinic. The best thing about the visit definitely was the Cardiologist, Dr. Vallabhan and his nursing staff. They were very professional and apologetic about what happen at check-in. The patient check-in process needs to be more organized and transparent. The excess chairs in the lobby should be removed for wheelchair patients or other types of mobility devices that are use by various patients. The wording on the mask signs on the entrance way should be more professional friendly. Make sure to inform the staff which clinic you are checking into upon arrival and ensure the staff knows you are there to avoid an unnecessary wait.
