I first met Dr. Cook in the ER after being admitted for a collapsed lung. Shortly after my first surgery in the ER, he met with me and talked about the next surgery to reduce this from happening again. Every interaction he had with myself and my daughter was informative, respectful and professional. He was always on time for check ins, surgeries etc. I never waited. If he said a time, that was the time it happened. He was organized with other staff, nurses and follow ups. Dr. Cook answered my questions and when I was in recovery, he spoke with my teen daughter and sister to inform them of what was happening so that they understood as well. When I wanted to go home, I let him know, he listened and took my request seriously. I couldn't have asked for a more thoughtful, respectful and competent surgeon in this emergency situation.
