Dr. Valeska Balderas is an exceptional gastroenterologist. She is thorough, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain test results, treatment options, and next steps in a way that is easy to understand. She listens with patience and truly cares about her patients' well-being. From the first visit, I felt reassured and confident in her care. I am not one to write reviews but I have been waiting to see Dr. Balderas for over two month and for some reason me having 3 insurances is a problem. They keep saying my insurances are not "correlating," but every time I call my insurances, they know exactly who my primary secondary and third Insurance is, all three of them. The first time I came in. I waited for a while before they sent me home saying I needed to call my insurances and today I came in again and basically was sent home again because my insurance are not "correlating". The issue isn't even so much that. The issue is the front staff. They're so rude and honestly, they make you feel like they could care less if they see you. The girl that I dealt with today was name Alicia and when I told her that I would just schedule with another doctor she looked at me like OK who cares? It's very sad to see a doctor's office lose patients due to their front staff. I would've waited another month, but because of her attitude, I will take my fully cover by 3 insurances self somewhere else.

Horrible Service - Avoid This Office! Went to this office after being referred by my doctor. Before even booking, they asked for my name, date of birth, etc. Once I arrived, they handed me a long questionnaire with prescreening questions -- all of which I answered no. I paid my copay and waited, only to be told by the PA (who was very nice, by the way) that the doctor said there was no need for any procedure and I could leave. I didn't even get to see the actual doctor. When I asked for my money back since no service or procedure was performed, they told me, "Well, we screened you." Excuse me -- I screened myself on that paper! This place is unprofessional, lacks proper communication, and offers zero real patient interaction. Do not waste your time or money here!

Due to my sister's medical conditions, I have been to many very good doctors' office; however today was the best experience ever. The 2 receptionists went way above and beyond to assist us when they definately did not have to. They were so very helpful and kind and I am so appreciative of that. I found Dr. Balderas to be very professional, knowledgeable, and patient ( I talk too much!). At first, it was nice. I was the first one in the Lvn trade me nice then when I went to the procedure room, everything changed to the worse Dr. Valderas was there and she did not mind everybody being so loud laughing loud they did not know my name was Mario. Well it happened that they didn't introduce themselves as an anesthesiologist or anything like that so they were talking about a Mario that did not shower that he only put cologne and that Mario smells very bad and again not knowing that my name is Mario. I did shower and I did put cologne so I thought it was me and everybody was laughing like nobody's business all they needed was stroke lights to make it like a disco dance it was horrible Again so I thought they were talking about me since I'm going down an anesthesia and then I'm like how are they talking bad about me then here comes the real Mario and I'm like you see they are not professional everybody that was in the room with not professional according to Dr. Valderas. I'm supposed to go back for a second round in a month I will definitely not go back not even for my report. I will never go back to that place. It's on Jackson and Ridge next to the news room or radio station so no thanks horrible horrible including that doctor Valdera she supposed to put to stop all this loud nonsense. They should be more professional.
