This is the amazing woman who saved my life. Dr. Kanneganti, I will never be able to thank you enough. There are no words deep enough to express the gratitude I feel for you. There was a moment in my life when fear took over and I didn't know if I would ever open my eyes again. I had one of those moments back in 2019... and because of her, I'm still here. Her quick thinking, precision, and care were nothing short of life-saving. Shortly after my hysterectomy in April of 2019, I started becoming short of breath. Unbeknownst to me, I had developed multiple, massive pulmonary embolisms in both lungs. I was found passed out in my restroom at home. After arriving at Edinburgh Hospital, Dr Kanneganti sprang into action. Dr. Swarnalatha Kanneganti stepped in and did what only a truly gifted doctor could do. She fought for me when I couldn't fight for myself. Along with quick consult with a colleague of hers, Dr. Padula, they worked together to bring me back from a life threatening situation. I was rushed to McAllen Heart Hospital where they conducted the life saving procedure that saved me. How do you thank someone who gave you your life back? You don't just say it. You live it. Thank you, Dr. Kanneganti. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for not giving up. Thank you for being exactly who you are. Because of you, I get to hug my family, see another sunrise, and write these words with tears in my eyes and breath in my lungs. Because of you, I'm here today. Breathing. Living. Loving my life. I will never forget what you did for me and I will never stop thanking God for placing you in that room that day.
