I will not go back here I have been going here for many years when I simply finally had enough. The doctor here basically told me to get over what I was feeling cause my test were normal and that it could just be anxiety and that I needed to move on. I felt extremely isolated because I have been dealing with my symptoms for so long. I switched to a different cardiologist and he repeated a few test and he noticed my heart rate being super fast all the time and has also noticed my low blood pressure problems. This new cardiologist is also sending me out to get a table tilt test done which is something Dr. Yara couldn't even do. I would not go back here he will just brush you off. I finally found a new cardiologist who seems more concerned and is trying to help me manage my symptoms before I'm able to get my table tilt test done since it's a 3 month wait because the RGV doesn't have many electrophysiologist specialists here which is something the valley needs to work on we need more specialists.

My husband saw Dr Yarra for a heart procedure. I saw how he treated his patients, he made sure his nurses had all the information that he needed to make sure his patients were well cared for. He is the first Dr I seen to be so hands on with post op care. He assisted my husband the way I imagine he would his own family. He had amazing beside manners. I am genuinely thank for Dr. Yarra.

Incompetent staff. Always have excuses to reschedule, or cancel and don't have the common courtesy to call and tell you "they" canceled your appointment. This time!.... sitting in the lobby for over an hour after my 8am appointment with the excuse of insurance is pending and don't say anything about it to me!! I've had the approval in my hand this whole time! It never fails with this staff!! Pretty sad to hear other patients making the same complaints in the lobby! Dr. Yarra, you need better front staff!!!!!!

I recently underwent a heart procedure angiogram at Drs Hospital on 9/27. According to my heart doctor I really needed an angiogram and stent emplacement. This was after doing badly on a stress test and echogram. Imagine my concern when after the procedure was over he told me that I had two open, one closed, and one at 60%. I imagine he couldn't insert a stent in the blocked vein but why would he determine "you're okay" and NOT place a stent when one was authorized in the 60% vein. Now I have to see my heart doctor and ask him why he wanted me to get the angiogram. He said one stent would help solve my problems shown during my stress and echo tests. I'm reserving my opinion right now but after undergoing a quadruple bypass 17 years ago I feel defrauded. If I need one later and my vein of 60% gets more clogged I doubt he could place a stent. All these costs again. Dang. I've re-thought this rating. I sent this text to my son a doctor. His last words alerted me to my error in judgement. Also likely depends if it's in native vs transplanted vein. Since I had a quadruple bypass operation there were 4 transplanted veins most of which came from my lower leg. These veins aren't as strong as native heart veins or arteries. My guess is that the doctor made a very good decision NOT to place a stent through angioplasty. Blowing up a ballon in a thinner weaker vein could have caused catastrophic damage to the artery/vein. I applaud his courage in deciding not to implant the stent even though it was authorized. Thank you Doctor Yarra.
