Dr. Julian Gomez III, MD

I'm beyond grateful to have been referred to Dr Gomez for my surgery. He's the BEST surgeon in the valley (I've had several surgery experiences throughout the years). Dr Gomez is experienced, meticulous and adept at his work completion, all while being professional and attentive. Dr Gomez's professionalism is portrayed in the way his nurses excel while working with him at the hospital. Lastly, Dr Gomez's clinic also has a group of welcoming professionals that made me feel reassured. Definitely a surgeon to go to!!!

I had never been to this doctor's office, and it will be the last time, the communication from there office to the hospital was night and day and lies, I never heard a sorry it was just whatever not even trying to calm me down, they do not stay to their hours I went at 2:30pm and they were gone I had to cancel my surgery last minute. the doctor may be good at what he does but the staff needs to get some training down and be considerate that we are there for a reason not because we want to even the office manager was a bit rude, they had me show up 3 times for my refund and still mailed my check and not sure why when I paid cash. I should bill them for the for my time going and the time I kept taking off for work even when I went to the hospital because they told me things could be done on a Saturday and it was a lie, now i have to back to my doctor and look for someone else to take care of my surgery. I feel bad for the older ones that may go through this I hope they don't and if they do something gets done for them. They gave me an email but for what how do I know the doctor will receive it the staff can just delete it that's why I am putting this out there.

Had hernia surgery in July 2022. Called in about pain in hips and legs since surgery. Was told by nurse that I'm looking in wrong place for help. Went in anyway. Dr Gomez told me the same thing. "Can't help you here". Can't believe how I was treated after surgery. The pain is in the same area as the surgery. They acted like I was complaining about my ankle hurting. Thanks for all your help. Should have gone to Austin for surgery as advised .

For several years I have hesitated on commenting on this physician. My sister-in-law has been gone for 8 years this coming July. She was referred to Dr. Gomez after being diagnosed with cancer. She goes in there, and mind you, there's nothing wrong with the patient being told the truth: but, he was so callous and tells her "you're gonna die, what else do you want me to tell you?" My sister-in-law dies at a very young age leaving an 11 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. Being truthful does not mean you can't be sympathetic and have a better choice for words, especially when you're the educated professional.

THE WORST!!!!!!!! If I could give this office negative stars I would. My mother just had an appointment today and was weight shamed in a passive aggressive way by the doctor and received DEPLORABLE treatment by the nurses. The doctor basically overlooked my mothers's questions, barely took the time to examine her and said she was asking for a miracle, that wanting her varicose veins fixed was like him asking to be young again. Her veins are not extremely damaged as other cases that have been cured! Even another patient in the waiting room who said to have been seeing him for 30 years mentioned he had been having an attitude lately. Please inform yourself before going to see this doctor. I'm sure he is a great doctor to have a long standing career as he has but treating people with respect and dignity when they come seeking help is a MUST in the medicine business.
