★★★★

This is a very small hospital compared to major hospitals in the area. Doctors are very good. Nurses were good. Food was good. I felt like they were a little short-handed as most things took a while to be addressed when help was requested. Check out took a very long time. Doctor was in early. PA was in about 9:30. We didn't leave until after 12 noon because nursing staff had to give meds, then fill out dismissal documents. Everyone was very nice, but slow.

Went to the ER for lingering chest and left arm pain. Having had a previous heart attack I knew what this felt like. 15 minutes after telling the EMT at the window (yes, EMT) I was having chest pains I still had not been seen by anyone or asked any questions. I was simply left standing in the small waiting area. Incredulous at the lack of concern or treatment, i walked out and drove the 6 mintues to Texas Tech ER. As soon as I told the Tech nurse (yes, a nurse) I was having chest pain I was immediately taken back to a treatment room, hooked to a monitor and given 4 aspirin. Within 10 minutes of walking in I'd had blood drawn, had a physician listening to my heart, had an EKG and a chest X-ray y and was on continued monitoring. A supposed CARDIOLOGY hospital left my standing there for 15 minutes with ongoing chest pain and absolutely no care or attention. Will never step foot into this facility again.

My husband was in CCCU for five days for congestive heart failure. It was fine until the last day. He was supposed to get out after lunch and at 3:00 we were still waiting. Health care workers seem to forget that patients and family have lives too. Nurse named Misty (hispanic) was very rude. She snapped at me once and I let it go but the second time was too much. I was stressed and upset and her attitude SUCKED. She wouldn't give me her last name and told me they were going to "throw us out". Charge nurse came in and made her leave the room. This person should not be a nurse!

Cannot recommend this place less. I do not live in Lubbock and came over for a surgery consultation and was sent here to get bloodwork done while here. I arrived right after my consultation, at 1:55 PM, and because the Lab tech wanted to leave at 2 PM they refused to help me even though I would not be back in town prior to my surgery. Will be telling everyone to avoid this place like the plague. No customer service whatsoever.

★★

1 The Hoyer lift was not working as designed during admission. 2 The bed was broken and had to have a trash can to prop up the head of the bed to maintain breathing position 3 Did not follow Dr Scioli's knee replacement protocol. Main concern was having to get a different CPM machine from the DME due to lack of instruction on how to use the one discharged with 4 Feet turned blue sitting on edge of bed, no assessment of situation 5 No phone call to receiving facility with orders for continuity of care 6 Oxygen, wound drain and urinary catheter tubing tangled together in lap due to incorrect positioning during discharge 7 HIPAA violation RX cream with label left in room after discharge 8 RX cream had not been applied to correct site of body 9 Care Navigator has not returned phone call when left a message 3/3/25 Contacted by the Risk Manager and provided an opportunity to discuss concerns. Since I had 5 previous positive experiences I am now willing to return and speak up about any concerns for prompt resolution.
