Regional Clinics Cardiology

I was referred to a different Dr. I called to schedule my appointment and that Dr was booked up until min January. They could get me in to see Cinthia Acevedo asap. I decided to give it a try. Made a 45 min drive in. Got me into a room quick, the medical assistant took all my info and what has been going on. I waited about awhile in the room and the dr never once came in. The med aid came in a couple of times to let me know they were trying to get records sent over from somewhere else and then the dr would be in. Never once did Cinthia come in to talk to me, listen to my heart, go over things that have been going on. Med assistant came in to tell me we could reschedule for after they get those records. I drove to this appointment 45 minutes to not talk to the dr one time and pay a $40 co pay. I am supposed to trust you with my heart and you can't even come in to the room, introduce yourself and talk to me for 10 minutes. Instead you leave me waiting and have your assistant tell me we can reschedule. I am a person, I have concerns and am worried about what is going on with me. The least you can do is act like you care! Show a little compassion.

Vein clinic is a fail. While Dr. Greifenkamp was friendly, the procedure was excruciating. Despite my telling them so during the procedure, despite my calling to report continued pain, despite my reporting excruciating pain and being unable to walk during my follow-up appointment, no help was offered and my phone calls went unreturned. I was told they "didn't understand" how much pain I was in. I literally used the word excruciating and limped into my follow-up. Cherry on top - they have been holding money they owe back to me for 3 months, and it is as difficult to connect to someone in the billing department as it was to get anyone to respond to my pain.

I was literally brought to tears this morning and had a long detailed review typed up (twice) However, I will be better and do better. Just be warned, they do not communicate. Results of testing is impossible to get and money is their primary concern, not their patients. (Also, patient portal is not user friendly and an infuriating waste of time trying to get results).

My father was seen and had double aortic aneurysms repaired and ended up having complications after surgery. Calls to the office nurse went unanswered for days, requiring his GP to call to find out what was going on. Only then did we receive a return call and the nurse was extremely rude! My Dad passed away shortly there after and we believe the care he received during his stay at Longview Regional and the aftercare from this Doctor played a part in that. Now, my Mother who is still greiving the loss of her husband, is having to deal with a bill for $150 being turned over to collections! When she called the office and explained he had passed she was told "sorry, you still owe it"! This was after insursance already paid 65k for this procedure. It's sad that medical care has turned into this and I'm a nurse!! The care he received from this office and Longview Regional was by far the worst experience we as a family have ever been through!

Dr. Germanwala is brilliant and caring. He transplanted a cow valve aorta into my aged brother and he recovered beautifully. His PA, Melissa McNabb is also smart, alert to needs and very professional. Highly recommend this office for all vascular needs.
