Diagnostic Clinic of Longview

This was my first time meeting Dr. Mack. my impression was, I immediately liked him because he walked up to me, extended his hand and introduced himself to me with his first and last name. You would be shocked at the number of healthcare providers who do not do that and I'm left to ask them, what is your name and what is your title?..not Dr. Mack. I explained my problem and felt confident in his care. He was very direct and gave me an example of another client that he had had with sort of a similar problem. We decided to let my problem be..which I appreciated. He thoroughly auscultated my heart and picked up a problem that I had not told him about, but in the past had known. If I needed to have surgery by Dr. Mac, I would feel safe and confident in his skills I would highly recommend him

I had terrible experiences with trying to get a primary care physician here. I tried a few times and the providers were completely disinterested in getting to know me. The 5-star doctors have 2-month waiting lists. I care about my health, I have questions, and I want a collaborative effort from a professional person. This is your basic 10-minute visit place where people get flu shots and cough syrup. The providers are rushed, stressed, and condescending. They are not good at listening or digging into concerns beyond which name-brand medications they can push without explaining why. This is not supposed to be the express care/urgent care clinic. I had a gynecologist who is supposed to be the highest rated in Longview, but she referred me to a radiologist who doesn't take my insurance and a specialist who can't explain his own surgery during a consultation. When I tried to talk about it, they wouldn't speak to me again but had no problem throwing the nurse under the bus instead. If I can only go there when I have a runny nose, but otherwise get treated like I have no place in my own healthcare decisions, I don't see the point of anyone in this clinic being my primary care provider.

Dr. Ben Mack is an outstanding surgeon. He is very knowledgeable, skillful and caring doctor. Every visit to his office, he took the time to explain in detail about my care plan and he took into consideration my needs, wants and fears. My experience at this office is great! The receptionist, the nurses, and staff have become more like friends and family than health care providers. Dr. Mack is awesome! He listens and addresses all of my concerns. He is never rushed and he always makes sure we have a game plan for the future. No better place to be.

Dr Mack is absolutely amazing. He explained my diagnosis and is helping me with logic science and care. Perfect package and his staff are equally excellent. Looking forward to doing my journey with them.
