Patient
I went to the ER due to extreme heart palpitations that felt like a heart attack, a nurse recommended me a cardiologist here and he was absolutely useless. He at first did his best to dismiss it as anxiety or eating habits (which is obviously not the cause, as it just randomly happened), he eventually did an echo which did assure it wasn't heart related. However my primary doctor told me my condition could be nerve related and told us that we need to have the cardiologist approve of the test, to which he outright refused it as he "didn't think that's the problem" and literally ignored us for a request that our literal primary try doctor requested and literally just told us random heart facts. Denying services and treatment should be illegal! I am not joking, his only advice for me when I'm having these episodes is to "splash cold water on my face"... Here I am 6 months later still going through all of this and it turns out it's very likely POTS. I'm absolutely furious that I could've gotten a diagnosis and treatment if I was just listened to and not dismissed.
